Jonny Bairstow on Morgan: "We were just seriously entertained and that bat sounds pretty good, he has been striking them well on the golf course and he has taken it out to the middle.

"It was tacky early on after the wicket had been under the covers so we had to assess the situation then Rooty and I just saw where we could get to."

(Facing Rashid, who conceded 11 sixes) "With franchise cricket now the guys have faced him a bit but he's still a serious bowler and the way the guys have played him is pretty special."

It's been the last 25 overs that has been carnage, for the first 25 England played with great sense and didn't allow Afghanistan into the game. That partnership between Bairstow and Root set the foundation for Morgan to come out and cause chaos - incredible display of entertainment.

Afghanistan are walk off like a team who still think they have got a chance!

Jonny Bairstow has just summed up Eoin Morgan's innings well.

"He has been striking it well on the golf course and has taken that into the middle."

    Quite.

The are a few weary high fives from the Afghanistan players before they limp off. That must be demoralising.

Joe Root appears on the England balcony, beaming like a school boy.

Boooooos from the crowd. Moeen Ali only manages a single from the final ball.

    England finish on 397.

Old Trafford stands to applaud one of the best performances you'll ever see from an England team.

One ball to go. Can Moeen get England to 400?!

    AGAIN! Brilliant from Moeen.

England have now hit 25 sixes in this innings, the most ever in an ODI.

    400 is still on!

Moeen Ali is playing a fine late hand here. He smacks one baseball style into the stands. Moeen has 24 runs from seven balls.

    Now a wide from Dawlat.

  16. Eng 383-6published at 49.3 overs

Not the cleanest of England's hits today but it's four more to Moeen with a top-edge.

  17. Eng 379-6published at 49.2 overs

New man Chris Woakes sneaks a single to get Moeen back on strike.

Woakes would have been run-out had the throw hit the stumps.

This is a real good yorker into leg stump. Dawlat has bowled well, he has run in and varied his pace.

    Stokes b Dawlat 2 (Eng 378-6)

The collapse is on! Ben Stokes is the next England batsman to fall. He is bowled by an excellent leg-stump half-volley from Dawlat Zadran.

Afghanistan have taken four quick wickets. I fear it's a little too late. Just a little.
