England captain Eoin Morgan: "The wicket looks really good. It doesn't look a great deal used - everyone at Old Trafford has done a magnificent job to get it ready. It played well the other day - plenty of carry for the seamers and a hint of turn for the spinners."

Two changes for England: James Vince is in for Jason Roy, and Moeen Ali plays in place of Liam Plunkett.

They're expecting it to spin, then...

I can see Eoin Morgan walking out for the toss in his England gear.

So unless he's doing a John Terry, he looks all set to play.

We already know England will be without Jason Roy, who will miss the next two games with a torn hamstring.

James Vince, he of the dreamy cover drives, will partner Jonny Bairstow at the top of the order.

Eoin Morgan had a net yesterday and is expected to play today after his back spasm against West Indies last week.

Not only have Afghanistan not won a single game, but they haven't come close, their batsmen failing on every occasion.

Although their bowlers are useful on a used pitch such as the one they will be playing on at Old Trafford, England should deal with them comfortably enough.

If England slip up it would rank as the biggest upset in the history of the World Cup.

    And so, to today.

England - fourth in the table - take on Afghanistan, who have yet to get a win under their belts in this tournament.

They're on four losses from four matches, while England have won three and lost one.

Bangladesh pulled off the second highest run-chase in World Cup history as they beat West Indies by seven runs.

Chasing 322, Shakib Al Hasan's unbeaten 124 anchored Bangladesh as they reached their target with 51 - FIFTY ONE - balls to spare.

Bangladesh are now up to fifth in the table, while West Indies are seventh.
