There's another. Moeen Ali with a swipe sends the ball into the stands over wide long-on. The ball is roared through the air by this crowd.

Rashid Khan ends with 0-110 from nine overs. They are the most expensive figures in a World Cup. Ever.

I have seen a lot of Rashid Khan in the IPL and never seen him throw them up above the eyeline.

    Not out.

Ben Stokes tries to heave another into the stands and his back foot has slid out of his crease. We're checking for a stumping.

Moeen Ali facing up to Rashid Khan on his second ball... SIX!

A lovely shot from Moeen and it brings up the unwanted century for Rashid. He is ranked as one of the best bowlers in the world but is being smashed everywhere.

Moeen gets off the mark with a single.

    Two overs to go.

The crowd sounds like it's having a breather after the party atmosphere created by Eoin Morgan.

Simple catch for Nabi, so difficult when you stroll out and you have been watching your captain smacking it to all parts and you have got to try and do the same from ball one.

Ah. Jos Buttler has sat in the dressing watching this carnage but can't repeat it. He slices the ball to mid-off and is caught for two.

The one consolation for Afghanistan is that those two wickets probably won't allow England to get to 400.

It's now left to Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler to keep this going. We haven't had a boundary for ages!

He was dropped horribly on 28 - a miss that has had disastrous consequences for Afghanistan. I don't think in your wildest dreams you could play an innings like that, but from the moment Morgan came out he has put Afghanistan to the sword.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 47 overs

    Morgan c Rahmat b Gulbadin 148 (Eng 359-3)

The end of one of the great innings by an England batsman ends. Unsurprisingly the wicket comes with Morgan trying to hit another six but he is caught at long-off.

He walks off the field having scored 148 from 71 balls with 17 sixes.

Enjoy this applause, Eoin. You've earned it.
