    Fakhar c Amla b Tahir 44 (Pak 81-1)

Imran Tahir strikes back! He gets his man eventually and is already off celebrating before the catch is taken.

It's a silly shot from Fakhar. He tries to scoop the spinner over his shoulder but loops the ball in the air to first slip.

There is some extra aggression in Tahir's celebration too after that earlier controversial catch/no catch.

Andy: Is there a change of pace today at the World Cup between Pakistan and South Africa? Sounding like it might be a high-scoring thriller after the tension of the last few low-scoring games. The beauty of cricket!

  3. Pak 79-0published at 14.1 overs

Fakhar hits leg-spinner Imran Tahir's first ball for four! It's not going Tahir's way today. This is a lovely shot from Fakhar and relives some of the pressure from the last few overs.

I think this is a seven ball over...

  7. Pak 75-0published at 14 overs

With all the excitement of the last few overs, everyone has lost the ability to count to six.

Bowler Chris Morris has his sweater, caps and sunglasses on in the deep but then the umpires call him back for one more delivery.

Ugh. He missed the stumps by a mile. But why take that risky single? No need for that.

  9. Pak 74-0published at 13.5 overs

What is Fakhar doing? For the second time in as many overs he nearly runs himself out. David Miller swoops in at extra cover but misses by a long way with an under-arm throw.

Fakhar would have been well out.

  10. Pak 74-0published at 13.4 overs

You may be right, Mahinwal. Fakhar swishes across the line at another delivery that only just misses off stump. It's the second time he has done that in this innings. He has been restricted recently and wants to get on with it.

We've just been having the same debate in the office. I have a similar view as Theo but others here disagree.

I think all three umpires probably got it about right though.

Theo: The soft signal is a farce... how can you give a decision from 75 yards away? Leave the decision to the third umpire.

Tight! Chris Morris misses with the throw after Fakhar takes a risky single to mid-off. Morris' reactions tells you that he knows that was a chance and the replay confirms it. Fakhar was six inches short when the ball went past the stumps.

Even from way up here in the media centre, that attempted catch from Imran Tahir looked like one of those where he couldn't quite prevent himself from spilling it on the ground as he tried to take it low down.

The full-on celebration that Tahir reeled off, normally reserved for when he takes a wicket, won't have won him too many fans among the Pakistan contingent in here.

As soon as the first replay of that chance went up on the big screen they were out of their seats cheering wildly.

We'll have a replay of that 'catch' for you shortly. We've watched it over and over again. You will be able to make your own mind up.

Tahir was certain he had caught it. He was running around at deep square leg celebrating. I thought the replay showed part of the ball hitting the ground as it went into his fingers.

Tahir made a move towards the umpires too after the soft signal was given. Du Plessis told him to stay away.

It happens to quickly and in one motion that the fielder doesn't always know whether they've taken in cleanly.

Typical. Fakhar Zaman now pulls a bouncer to the boundary, just to Tahir's left. Once again the crowd loves it.

It's a popular decision in the ground. But not with Imran Tahir and Faf du Plessis.

Tahir is getting a big old boo as he goes over to the grandstand. But I don't blame his reaction - he thought he caught it and it would've been a brilliant catch.
