It's nothing. No spike on UltraEdge. Faf du Plessis did not hit that ball.

What did Sarfaraz Ahmed hear? Imad Wasim wasn't that interested.

Du Plessis just gave his counterpart a shrug in mild bemusement that Sarfaraz was so animated about that.

    Pakistan lose their review.

    It's bat or nothing.

  3. Pakistan reviewpublished at 24.4 overs

Well now. Have they got South Africa's captain too?

Faf du Plessis drives at one that's a bit too full for that shot. Sarfaraz Ahmed appeals madly behind the stumps for caught behind.

He's certain. And he's captain. So of course they are going to review.

It's a stereotype but a lot of South Africans struggle against spin because they get their feet stuck in the crease. Only the very best - like Jacques Kallis and Graeme Smith - use their feet.

  5. SA 103-3published at 24 overs

    Target 309

Hendrik Erasmus 'Rassie' van der Dussen strides out to a pretty thankless task.

He's been in good form this tournament and South Africa desperately need him to carry that on.

Pakistan are lively around the bat and Van der Dussen has to play out a wicket maiden from Shadab Khan.

  6. How's stat?!published at 16:30 British Summer Time 23 June 2019

Shadab Khan has now picked up his 50th and 51st ODI wickets in this match.

    Graeme Swann

He made the mistake of getting his feet stuck in the crease - you can see why he struggles against spin. He's not proactive at all.

    Markram b Shadab 7 (SA 103-3)

Woeful from Aiden Markram. He's got a shocking record against spin and you can see why.

He rocks back, trying to cut it away but the ball doesn't turn and just slides on flat.

Markram plays over it and the ball rearranges his stumps.

Good bowling from Shadab Khan to push it a little fuller and he got his reward with the low bounce.

Imad Wasim is your classic one-day spinner. Only the odd one turns.

  10. SA 103-2published at 23 overs

    Rinse. Repeat.

A quick, tight over from Imad. Only four runs.

The squeeze is well and truly on.

    Graeme Swann
Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

Faf Du Plessis just never looks under pressure, he's such a good man-manager like Stephen Fleming was for New Zealand. You can understand why he gets on so well with MS Dhoni in the IPL. They're made for each other. Both as cool as cucumbers.

  12. SA 98-2published at 22 overs

    Required run rate 7.53

Shadab wheels through a quick over, just three from it.

Ideal for Pakistan. Not for South Africa.

They're pootling along at 4.45 runs per over but need 7.53.

  13. SA 95-2published at 21 overs

Spin from both ends for Pakistan as Imad Wasim returns to the attack.

And it's a tidy return, conceding just three singles.

  14. De Kock slog-sweeps for sixpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 23 June 2019

He hit this one for six.

But fell trying to do it again...

That was classic scoreboard pressure. De Kock hit some boundaries, realised they weren't even up to 100 and needed 300 and holed out to the spinner.

  19. wicket

    De Kock c Imam b Shadab 47 (SA 91-2)

A largely forgettable World Cup with the bat for Quinton de Kock continues.

The South Africa opener had looked to be finally finding some fluency after a scratchy patch but miscues another slog sweep when searching for a six.

Imam-ul-Haq runs round to deep square leg and snaffles it inches above the ground. That's a good take in the end.

Exactly what South Africa didn't need - that wicket should slow the scoring again.

Imam's fingers are under the ball. This is a much simpler decision.
