There are signs of some up-ish drives. It just suggests the wicket is holding a fraction. If Afghanistan can get another couple of wickets early then they are right in this game.

An early bowling change for Afghanistan - Mohammad Nabi is on to make it spin from both ends.

    Tamim 6, Shakib 1

Shakib Al Hasan has been one of the best batsmen in this World Cup so far.

Plenty of work to do from here. He gets off the mark with a single.

Even from where we were the gut decision was out. It was clear the ring finger got underneath the ball but when you slow it down you get more nervous about the decision.

    Given!

Mujeeb Ur Rahman dupes Liton Das into a miscued drive and Hashmatullah Shahidi did indeed get his fingers underneath the ball at extra cover.

A very tight one but it did look like he'd done enough to keep the ball off the turf.

Good ball from Mujeeb, coming out of the front of the hand but turning a bit like a leg break.

That looks like a good catch to me. He has his fingers under the ball.

My gut feeling is it is out.

Looks like fingers under the ball for me. Not sure there is enough to overturn the soft signal.

Liton just sat back on his bat. He didn't think it was out at all.

Liton Das looks to have chipped Mujeeb to extra cover.

It's a very low catch and Das isn't sure it was clean.

The umpires confer and send it upstairs. The soft signal is OUT.

  12. Ban 23-0published at 4 overs

Good response by Dawlat, zipping the last ball past Tamim's outside edge.

Again the fielder might not have read it quickly enough. They could have been closer. Afghanistan will feel if the fielder moved sooner then it could have been a chance.

  14. Ban 23-0published at 3.5 overs

Tamim Iqbal gets the front foot down the pitch and cracks a lofted drive through extra cover for four.

It was uppish and the fielder dived but couldn't get there. Dawlat is upset he didn't but that was hit like a rocket.

Liton Das batted at number five previously in this tournament but has batted in the top order most of his ODI career. He has been in the top three in 28 of his 31 matches. As an opener he scored 121 against India in the Asia Cup last year from just 117 balls when Bangladesh only scored 223-7.

  16. Ban 16-0published at 3 overs

Tamim Iqbal rocks back and inside edges out to square leg for one to get off the mark.

A tighter over from Mujeeb Ur Rahman, just three from it.

  17. Ban 13-0published at 2 overs

Dawlat Zadran's right-arm pace from the other end but a similar result - Liton Das punching away square and picking up four as the diving fielder brings most of the rope with him.

  18. Ban 8-0published at 1 over

Mujeeb drags it back after a ropey start to the over.

Good shot but the fielder has to stop that. He got a hand to it but there should have been a dive.

  20. Ban 7-0published at 0.2 overs

A run off a wide returns Liton Das to the strike and he slashes a fine square drive past point for four.
