I don't think Bangladesh bowled particularly well during those 10 overs. It was all a bit legside.
Afghanistan have given themselves a chance.
Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 62 runs to go fifth in table, one point behind England
Shakib Al Hasan only second man to take five wickets (5-29) & score fifty (51 off 69 balls) in World Cup match
Bangladesh totalled 262-7 with Mushfiqur making 83 off 86 balls at Hampshire Bowl

Not timed, but four...
Gulbadin 15, Rahmat 24
The ball does seem to be coming onto the bat a bit better now. Perhaps the sun is baking the pitch and flattening it out, making it easier to bat on.
I wasn't sure about Afghanistan electing to bowl first but if the pitch is going to continue to play better, that could prove to be a very canny call by Gulbadin.

Matt Stewart: First 15 overs are crucial for Afghanistan, for me 80 for no loss is the target.

At the kind of pace that Mashrafe Mortaza bowls, it's very easy to put away whenever it's short.
Target 263
Gulbadin heaves it over mid-on, not timed but it gets him three.
Shot! Rahmat scythes it away through point for four.
Expensive over for Bangladesh - 12 from it.
Don't bowl this length to Rahmat!
Mortaza rather spoils the pressure that had been built up by serving up a short ball on the hips that Rahmat whips round the corner for four.
First bowling change for Bangladesh as Mohammad Saifuddin enters the fray.
And it's a tidy first over, conceding just a single apiece to Gulbadin and Rahmat.

Rahmat Shah just needs to bat time for Afghanistan and let the other players around him take the risks.
Rahmat Shah chips just past mid-wicket for two and then heaves over the inner ring for two more.
A bit agricultural.

That was a much-needed boundary for Afghanistan.
Target 263
Gulbadin frees his arms and heaves the Fizz back over his head down the ground.
The ball bobbles away, teasing Shakib all the way into the rope. That's four.
What a beauty! Mustaziur spirals one down, wobbled seam, over the wicket and it nips away from the right-handed Gulbadin on the angle, just missing the outside edge.

It's a decent start from Afghanistan. If they can double it and get to 42-0 after 10 overs they'd be very happy with that.
Target 263
Mashrafe Mortaza tightens up - that's a testing over and Gulbadin Naib can only pick up a single from it.
West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has been ruled out of the rest of the World Cup due to injury.
Russell has been struggling with injury throughout the full competition and missed their most recent game against New Zealand.
West Indies can still technically qualify with three games remaining but it is very, very unlikely.
Batsman Sunil Ambris has been called up as his replacement.

It has been a scruffy start from Bangladesh.
Run rate 5.00
Another leg bye, plenty of extra early on here.
Mustafizur drops short on the last and Rahmat pulls forcefully out over square leg for four.
The sun has broken through above the stadium - will it make the pitch easier to bat on?

The ball is already taking some grip for the seamers. That is not a good sign for Afghanistan.
