Kane Williamson's defence is water tight, he plays for the team and he has common sense. He could stay there for the full 50 overs. It will take some ball to get him out.
And after taking a blinder, Sarfaraz fumbles a simple take off Imad Wasim, and Tom Latham scampers a bye.
You win some, you lose some...
Tom Latham - scores of 12, 1, 13 and 0 to his name - has come out to the middle to join Kane Williamson.
And Sarfaraz Ahmed makes a change, with Imad Wasim coming on to bowl.

Magnificent! Magical! Sarfaraz with the full-length dive and this is up there with the best catches of the World Cup. Brilliant anticipation!
Taylor c Sarfaraz b Shaheen 3 (NZ 38-3)
WHAT A CATCH!
Sarfaraz Ahmed, take a bow! This is astonishingly good! Ross Taylor gets squared up by Shaheen Afridi and a thick outside edge goes flying to Sarfaraz's right. Sarfarz anticipates it and goes with the ball and then makes a huge tumbling dive to his right, sticking out his hand and clinging on to the ball even as he thuds back to the floor. Brilliant, brilliant work - and New Zealand are in a whole heap of trouble.
Ross Taylor clumps a drive through the covers and Shadab Khan throws himself to the floor to stop it going for four.
He parries it back into play and Taylor jogs through for three, before he calls Williamson through for a risky single... Taylor was quick, though, and Williamson gives him a thumbs up as he slides his bat in at the non striker's end.

The NOISE from the crowd at both wickets, wow. That alone almost makes me want Pakistan to nick the 4th semi spot. Almost...
Harry, London
Kane Williamson taps a couple into the leg side as is his way, before watching a delivery that keeps low swing through to Sarfaraz Ahmed.
There's something about Williamson's presence at the crease that makes you feel very calm.
Oh, Kane Williamson!
This is a gorgeous little back foot punch, jumping on a short Amir delivery and just pushing it, almost effortlessly, through deep cover for four.

What a noise! Fabulous, these Pakistan fans.
There's an almighty roar about Edgbaston, noise building and building as Mohammad Amir pumps his legs and runs in to bowl...
...and Kane Williamson promptly caresses a cover drive away for four.
The Edgbaston DJ welcomed Ross Taylor to the wicket with some AC/DC there - whose drummer, Phil Rudd, lives in...
Tauranga!
All roads lead there this morning.

A wicket maiden from Shaheen Afridi!

Anand Dahihandekar: Pakistan - a dangerous dangerous team in backs to the wall scenario.
Karlos: Don’t think I’ve ever heard a celebration that loud for a wicket in the cricket before!
That's a cracking ball from Shaheen Afridi, just moving away from Colin Munro and inviting the drive.
Here's Ross Taylor. These two running together is always... interesting.
Shaheen Afridi has taken Munro's wicket four times, in just 25 balls, in ODIs.

It is an event! A catch has been taken by Pakistan! Munro tried to hit the ball too hard.
It's a grinder's pitch - you'll have to work hard but there's something there for the bowlers, the spinners as well.
Munro c Haris b Shaheen 12 (NZ 24-2)
Colin Munro goes hard at this Shaheen Afridi delivery - and he's caught at slip!
Cracking noise once again. In truth, this is a poor shot from Colin Munro. No foot movement, chasing after a wide delivery, and a thick outside edge goes flying to Haris Sohail at slip. Haris takes it at about head height and, once again, New Zealand are up against it.
