This is a good chance for Shaheen, he can write his name into history. And he will only be 23 coming into the next World Cup.

  2. Ban 220-9published at 44 overs

Number 11 Mustafizur Rahman keeps the strike on the final ball of the over. Shaheen Afridi will be hopping with glee at fine leg.

He'll now have six balls at him to get a six-fer at Lord's in a World Cup and gain Pakistan's best-ever figures in the competition.

Mortaza st Sarfaraz b Shadab 15 (Ban 219-9)

Well that was the most predictable thing we've seen all day! Mashrafe Mortaza can't resist charging down to the leg-spinner. Shadab sees him coming and fires it in wider. Sarfaraz collects the ball behind the stumps and smashes off the bails.

Mortaza almost ended up doing up the splits trying to get back into the crease which won't help his weary limbs.

Has Mortaza got a two in him? - no he hasn't. He barely had a one in him to be honest.

Shaheen is already the youngest man to take five wickets at a World Cup.

  6. Ban 214-8published at 43 overs

Bangladesh need 102 more runs to win

He is conceding some annoying late runs but Shaheen Afridi won't care if he gets the wicket. He has an over left to get one and it'll give him the best ever figures for a Pakistan bowler in a World Cup.

    Mortaza is swinging at everything.

It's nice to not be fixated with net run-rate. Make some memories.

    Ban 212-8published at 42.1 overs

    Big! This is fun!

I wish we could have had more of this. Shaheen Afridi has taken five wickets but Mortaza doesn't care and hammers him for another six.

If you are going to go down you have got to go down like this. Let's see some entertainment.

  10. Ban 206-8published at 42 overs

Need 110 more runs to win

I've missed seeing lower-order batsman swing from the hip. Mortaza is not faffing about with net run-rate now.

These performances will be the highlights Pakistan take from the World Cup. It is very easy to think about not qualifying for the semi-finals but it has not been all doom and gloom.

    Ban 205-8published at 41.4 overs

Simon Mann knows what he's talking about! One of the biggest sixes we have seen today from Mashrafe Mortaza.

Mortaza is not the worst number 10 in the world but he has not had a great World Cup, 1-351 with the ball.

  14. Ban 199-8published at 41 overs

Why was Shaheen Afridi not in Pakistan's team at the start of the World Cup?!

He has 5-26 from eight overs.

I believe that he is sharing the best bowling figures for Pakistan in a World Cup with Wasim Akram. That is such a difficult ball for a new batsman to face.

    Mahmudullah b Shaheen 29 (Ban 198-8)

Shaheen Afridi has five at Lord's!!! He's been brilliant and now he's got Mahmudullah, the set batsman, with a Wasim Akram-style yorker. That's a stunner.

He sprints away in celebration and ends on his knees. This is his first international five-fer.

Bangladesh don't want to fold completely, they have been so good at making a fight of the games.

  20. wicket

    Saifuddin c Amir b Shaheen 0 (Ban 197-7)

A fourth for Shaheen Afridi! Mohammad Saifuddin clubs him to Mohammad Amir at mid-off. This could all end with a whimper from Bangladesh.
