WICKET Robinson st Ambrose b Patel 143published at 14:22 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Warwks v Kent 504-9 dec

Superb work from the glove man.

Jeetan Patel tosses it up to Ollie Robinson, who misses an attempted flick to leg.

The ball loops to the right, bounces on the popping crease and Tim Ambrose dives like a gazelle and flicks the ball on to the stumps.

Great knock from Ollie Robinson - and a career best.

There's the declaration and that's a monster total.

  3. Shot of the day! (of sorts)published at 14:19 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Durham 224 v Sussex 73-7

    Burgess bowledImage source, Getty Images

Been a bit of a sorry tale for Sussex's batsmen this afternoon and a few, as just mentioned, have had their furniture rearranged by Chris Rushworth.

Michael Burgess gave this photographer a great image for his portfolio if not one that he'll want to add to his own scrapbook.

The same fate then came David Wiese's way soon after...

  4. Bartlett hits top gearpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Notts 263 v Somerset 220-3

George Bartlett is moving through the gears nicely here and picks up a couple more fours off short-pitched balls from Jake Ball.

He now has 91. Don't say it... Just don't.

    Warwks v Kent 502-8

Ollie Robinson tucks Craig Miles away to square leg for one to take Kent to 500.

Two slips in now and a frustrating play and miss from Adam Riley, who pulls the next ball to square leg for one.

Robinson hangs on to the strike with a whip through mid-wicket for one more.

  6. wicket

    WICKET Kohler-Cadmore lbw b Dawson 41published at 14:12 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

Rare breakthrough for Hampshire as Yorkshire's big innings continues.

Jack Leaning still unbeaten on 31 at the other end.

  7. wicket

WICKET Wiese b Rushworth 1published at 14:10 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Durham 224 v Sussex 71-1

More problems for Sussex as Durham's bowlers keep on top of the game.

David Wiese bowled by Chris Rushworth for just a single with his middle stump cartwheeling and the Durham seamer now has 3-12 to his name.

Sussex in deep trouble at 71-7.

Four more to Tom Abell from a pull shot off Jake Ball at the other end takes the visitors past 200.

    Somerset in control.

    Surrey 395 v Essex 38-2

    LawrenceImage source, Rex Features

Essex and Dan Lawrence facing a going-over on two fronts at The Oval it seems.

One from the four-pronged home pace attack and another from the flock of pigeons creeping across the square as ever.

Lawrence settling in to his innings in testing circumstances as well as having to keep the local wildlife at bay.

    Notts 263 v Somerset 179-3 - trail by 84

  13. Pressure on the Bearspublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Warwks v Kent 487-7

    Jeetan PatelImage source, Getty Images

Trial by spin first up at Edgbaston and Jeetan Patel teases Robinson with width outside off stump.

The batsman isn't interested. Maiden over.

Craig Miles finds the edge but it's well wide of the keeper and first slip.

A streaky four runs. Robinson picks up a couple more to move to 129.

  14. Early boundary for Westleypublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Surrey 395 v Essex 28-2

Tom Curran continues after lunch but strays onto Tom Westley's pads with the final delivery of his over, allowing the Essex batsman to clip it away for four.

No Morne Morkel at the other end, though, as Rikki Clarke takes up the attack and starts with a maiden.

  15. Play resumes at Trent Bridgepublished at 13:45 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Notts 263 v Somerset 174-3

    BroadImage source, Getty Images

The umpires are making their way to the middle for what may well be a pivotal session of play.

Just 89 runs between the sides at the moment and early wickets are a must for the hosts.

Samit Patel, it's over to you.

  16. Back out at the Bowlpublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Yorkshire 413-5 v Hampshire

Another tough session may be in store for Hampshire, with Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Jack Leaning settling in to a promising partnership before lunch.

Both have been circumspect so far - only three boundaries between the two right-handers so far - but have the ability to push the scoring along at a healthy rate if they survive the early overs after lunch.

  17. Hameed and Jennings bat on at Lord'spublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Middx 265 v Lancs 88-0

The visitors had a great session this morning but will take nothing for granted against a quality bowling attack as Haseeb Hameed and Keaton Jennings look to build on a promising partnership... all under the watchful eyes of Ed Smith.

    Steven Finn to bowl.

  18. Second session begins at Edgbastonpublished at 13:41 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Warwks v Kent 475-7

It's already been a record-breaking innings for Ollie Robinson.

His 123 not out is both his highest first class score by a distance (previous best 26) and also his maiden first class ton.

He returns to the middle with Matt Milnes, who has 28.

    RobinsonImage source, Getty Images

from BBC Radio Kent's Ben Watts: “Prior to this innings, Ollie Robinson’s first-class best was just 26.

He scored buckets of runs in the second XI last season, including a double-hundred against Middlesex, and spent the winter playing club cricket in Sydney for Campbelltown-Camden in the New South Wales Premier division.

With regular gloveman and captain Sam Billings away at the Indian Premier League, the 20-year-old is demonstrating much maturity at the crease in this knock. He hit three boundaries in an over off Craig Miles to move to 98, before edging to third man to bring up three figures.”

    Surrey 395 v Essex 21-2

Surrey have an opportunity to seize control of the game after lunch, with Tom Westley and Dan Lawrence new at the crease together, and Championship debutant Rishi Patel due to come in next.

Morne Morkel and Tom Curran shared the new ball before the interval, and the reigning champions have Liam Plunkett 'waiting in the wings' and eager to make an impact with the ball after his duck during the morning session.
