And another day reaches its conclusion in the County Championship.

A day where Somerset completed a big win to make it two from two at the start of the campaign and a few other sides moved themselves into winning positions.

They may include Lancashire at Lord's against Middlesex thanks to Rob Jones' century earlier in the day - looks like he enjoyed the moment too.

Middlesex have a mighty task ahead of them to save this game after the late wicket of Stevie Eskinazi in the evening session left them two down for 68 and 94 in arrears.

Sam Robson (41*) resumes the rearguard tomorrow with nightwatchman James Harris.

A crucial contribution from Luke Wells in both Sussex innings (98 not out and 41) has helped Sussex gain a strong foothold in this match and Stiaan Van Zyl (66*) will return to the crease tomorrow with Laurie Evans, who has 21, within sight of victory.

It's been another tough day for them and Yorkshire are in total command in this one.

They need just five more wickets tomorrow to complete a bit innings-win with Hampshire still 198 runs behind.

That looks like it might be that for day three as the players come off for bad light.

We've still got four overs and a bit of change scheduled for the day, but I would imagine we're done for.

Surrey with a lead of 15 runs as things stand.

Surrey now 14 ahead of Essex thanks to Rory Burns and Mark Stoneman negotiating these 28 overs or so without too much worry.

Will be hard for either side to force a win on the last day you feel.

Huge shout for an lbw against Hain off the bowling of Milnes but the umpire says no. A bit too high?

Riley is wide of the off stump and that's carefully padded away. That's stumps.

With a gap of 79 and four wickets down there's still plenty of pressure on the hosts but they still have enough batting left for a feasible rearguard tomorrow.

Hain is 34 not out and Ambrose is unbeaten on 17 in an innings where he passed 11,000 career runs.

A bit of width from Milnes and that's four through the covers for Tim Ambrose.

It's been hard work for the bowlers and we've seen a few tired freebies in the last few minutes.

He blocks the last ball and shouts out a clear "no" to Sam Hain.

Has to pull off a bit of a balancing act to stop the ball rolling back on to the timbers.

Shot! Riley fires in a full toss and Hain crunches the ball through cover for four.

He blocks the last ball off the back foot and we have four overs left.

Here's the state of play:

Middlesex have got off to a disappointing start in their second innings at Lord's where Jimmy Anderson removed Nick Gubbins in the first over to leave the hosts 0-1. Sam Robson and Stevie Eskinazi have taken the score to 16-1.

The home side are now 146 behind Lancashire.

Sussex have recovered to 87-2 in their run chase at Chester-le-Street after losing openers Philip Salt and Tom Haines within the first eight overs.

They need another 125 to beat Durham.

Leicestershire are 122-3 against Worcestershire at Grace Road and trail the visitors by 129.

Gloucestershire lead Derbyshire by 23 runs at Bristo,l where the visitors are 82-2.

A few eyebrows have been raised in Cardiff, where Northants ended day three 522-4 and just 48 runs behind Glamorgan.
