    Got him!

Sam Hain will try to stop the rot.

Well that didn't last long for Fidel Edwards...

Steven Patterson bags two in two balls for Yorkshire to wrap up that Hampshire first innings and you imagine with them still 252 adrift, they will be asked to follow-on.

  3. Somerset crush Notts and top the tablepublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Notts 263 & 126 v Somerset 403

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Somerset recorded back-to-back victories in the Specsavers County Championship with a comprehensive victory over Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

Jack Leach recorded figures of 6-36 as Notts were bowled out for only 126 in their innings, giving the West Country side victory by an innings and 14 runs.

    Jack Leach told BBC Sport:

"It was nice to get a spell under my belt and things began to happen very quickly after that. When I first came on there was a little bit of drizzle in the air and it was skidding on quite well. After lunch there was more turn and I just tried to mix my pace up a little bit and play with my angles.”

Jack Brooks returned to close out the contest and ended with 4-22.

    Jack Brooks told BBC Sport:

"Our mindset throughout the game has been fantastic. We probably let them get too many runs in the first innings, if we’re going to be super-critical but to come away with a three-day win against a strong side on their own patch, there’s nothing better."

The victory, Somerset’s seventh straight win over Notts, earned them maximum points to become early pace-setters in Division One. Their next opponents in the County Championship are defending champions Surrey in a month’s time.

Nottinghamshire haven’t won any of their last 10 first class matches, a sequence that goes back to their victory against Essex at Chelmsford, the same opposition and venue where they will resume after the break for the Royal London One-Day Cup matches.

  4. wicket

    WICKET McManus c Kohler-Cadmore b Patterson 27published at 16:45 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Hampshire 302-9 v Yorkshire 554-7 dec

Hampshire nine down and on the verge of being asked to follow-on by Yorkshire.

Lewis McManus tries to uppercut a short one from Steven Patterson but Tom Kohler-Cadmore clings on in the slip cordon to send him on his way for 27.

Keith Barker and Fidel Edwards the last pair for Hampshire now.

  5. Kent strike early in Bears second digpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Warwks 346 & 11-1 f/o v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 147

    Harry Podmore to bowl...

Huge shout for lbw as Dom Sibley is on one leg to evade an in-ducker.

Not out. A bit high and probably missing leg.

Shot! Sibley drives on the on side and that's his first runs in the innings, four of them.

  6. In Division Two...published at 16:34 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

Here's the state of play in our second division games:

In a rain interrupted day three at Lord's, Lancashire look to have wrestled control of the game away from Middlesex with a teatime score of 387-5, a lead of 122.

Leicestershire are in danger of defeat at home to Worcestershire, where the hosts are 52-3 following on and still 199 behind.

Derbyshire are 18-2 in their second innings against Gloucestershire in Bristol, with Billy Godleman and Luis Reece both caught behind off Matt Taylor and Ryan Higgins respectively. They trail by 41.

The run feast continues in Cardiff where Northants are 108 behind Glamorgan on 462-4. Ricardo Vasconcelos and Rob Newton both scored centuries, taking the total number of centurions on both sides to five.

Sussex have faltered in their fourth innings target to beat Durham at Chester-le-Street and are 188 behind on 24-2.

Philip Salt was out for two, caught by Weighell off the bowling of Chris Rushworth.

Ben Raine had Tom Haines caught behind for eight.

  7. Kent look to ram home advantagepublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Kent 504-9 dec v Warwickshire 346 & 3-1 (f/o)

    Ben Watts
    Sports reporter, BBC Radio Kent

    PodmoreImage source, Rex Features

Kent enforced the follow-on and got a breakthrough second ball, as Harry Podmore trapped Will Rhodes lbw for a duck.

It was Podmore who turned the game earlier in the day, just as the draw was beginning to look like the most likely result, taking three quick Warwickshire wickets including Dom Sibley for 132.

A centurion in his last five first-class matches, Sibley finds himself back at the crease just a couple of hours after being dismissed.

That could have been even sooner though, had Jeetan Patel (40) and Ryan Sidebottom (27*) not added 73 in a final wicket stand that lasted over an hour and reduced the deficit to 158 runs.

  8. Tea at The Oval and Essex dismissedpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Surrey 395 v Essex 448

And that at last is both tea and the end of Essex's first innings.

Matt Quinn the last man to go as he tries to hoick Freddie van den Bergh over the legisde and is bowled.

They end up with a lead of 53 and Peter Siddle finishes unbeaten on 41 at the other end.

  9. Back under way under lightspublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Hampshire 296-8 v Yorkshire 554-7 dec

Play has resumed at the Ageas Bowl where a bit of murkiness in the interval made them put the floodlights on.

It's probably a bit brighter now as Lewis McManus and Keith Barker resume for the hosts, whose first target will be 300 and another batting bonus point.

  10. wicket

WICKET Rhodes lbw b Podmore 0published at 16:24 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Warwks 346 & 0-1 f/o v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 158

Well, if there is a rearguard it won't come from the first wicket pair as Will Rhodes registers a second-ball duck, pinned leg before by Harry Podmore.

    Over to you, Liam Banks.

    And so it begins.

Another rearguard? Here comes Will Rhodes and Dom Sibley.

  12. Drama building at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Durham 224 & 189 v Sussex 202 & 16-2 (target 212)

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

If they are to win, Sussex will have to hold their nerve here and chase down the second highest total of the match.

A gutsy 74 not out from Gareth Harte earlier took Durham to a total of 189 in their second innings, setting Sussex 212 to win.

They had 47 overs left today when they came out to bat and there still could be a finish tonight.

More likely to come from 10 wickets being taken, but equally Luke Wells has been Durham's nemesis too often in recent seasons and got 98 yesterday to add to his four centuries against them since 2011.

He is in the middle now.

If you graft on this wicket, you can get runs and we have seen how one or two partnerships can make a difference. Who will hold their nerve?

Remember we still have day for tomorrow if needed.

  13. Kent enforce the follow-onpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Warwks 346 v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 158

It's hard on Dom Sibley, who has already resisted for over six hours in the first dig, but this is the only feasible way Kent can win this game.

  15. Tea at the Ageas Bowlpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Hampshire 296-8 v Yorkshire 554-7 dec

That's the interval at the Ageas Bowl where Lewis McManus and Keith Barker have managed to avoid any more pepperings from the short stuff.

Hampshire still 109 runs short of avoiding the follow-on though with two wickets in hand.

  16. wicket

WICKET Patel c Kuhn b Stevens 40published at 16:04 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Warwks 346 v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 158

    That's it!

A gallant 10th-wicket rearguard is ended by Darren Stevens.

Jeetan Patel miscues an almighty swipe and top edges a catch to Heino Kuhn in the deep.

    3-56 for Darren Stevens.

Ryan Sidebottom finishes on 27 not out.

Hats off to Dom Sibley too after a determined innings of 132, stretching his sequence of championship tons in successive matches (which began late last season) to five.

    That's tea.

  17. wicket

WICKET Porter c Jacks b Morkel 8published at 16:02 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Surrey 395 v Essex 415-9

Morne Morkel grabs a third wicket of the innings for Surrey as they eventually manage to dislodge Jamie Porter.

The Essex seamer was doing a decent job of wearing a few nasty short ones and using up some time, but he can't manage to fend off this one from the South African as he pops the ball into the hands of Will Jacks at short leg.

  18. Kent held up by 10th wicket standpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Warwks 344-9 v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 160

Shot! Darren Stevens is just back of a length and Jeetan Patel pulls the ball away for four.

This 10th-wicket partnership is worth 65 now. 65!

Mitch Claydon will try and get this last wicket now.

He drops short and Patel hooks... The ball lands safely in the deep on the leg side for a single and now Sidebottom picks up his third four with a glorious off drive.

  19. ouch!

Another takes one on the helmet!published at 15:52 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Hampshire 288-8 v Yorkshire 554-7 dec

It's Keith Barker's turn now to duck into a short ball from Duanne Olivier.

Both he and Lewis McManus have had to pause their innings while being checked over.

Neither ball got up that particularly high, it was just a case of it following them as they tried to weave underneath.

  20. Kent frustrated by last wicket standpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Warwks 333-9 v Kent 504-9 dec - trail by 171

Adam Riley bowling around the wicket with seemingly loads of close catchers on the off side.

Jeetan Patel drives to the off side and takes the single.

Sidebottom picks up an easy single to square leg.

Patel pulls away a rank half tracker for four.
