  1. Vipers 164-6published at 19 overs

    Morris 10, Kelly 1

One over to go for Southern Vipers and they'll be disappointed only to have 164-6 on the board.

Marie Kelly is in at eight to join Fi Morris - can they get towards 180?

Anya Shrubsole to bowl it for Western Storm.

    Scholfield c Luff b Davies 2 (Vipers 161-6)

Another Southern Vipers batter bites the dust - Paige Scholfield caught at deep backward square.

A first wicket of the match for Freya Davies, who moves onto 19 in the competition - more than anyone else.

Vipers are 161-6 with a nine balls left.

  3. wicket

Wellington lbw Nicholas 13 (Vipers 158-5)

Amanda Wellington diverts a Claire Nicholas delivery towards the boundary with a reverse sweep attempt but it's pad first and lbw is given by the umpire.

Was there some glove on it? It's anyone's guess really but Southern Vipers are five down and Paige Scholfield joins Fi Morris in the middle.

This is my favourite time of day, the sun is so beautiful. There's a golden hue and all photos look amazing.

  5. Vipers 153-4published at 17 overs

    Wellington 9, Morris 7

A boundary apiece for Amanda Wellington and Fi Morris in an encouraging 17th over for Southern Vipers.

Morris in particular adjusts mid-delivery, changing her footwork to find a four.

That's the 150 up and there are still 18 balls left.

They will feel at 150 plus, they have a target to defend. They'll also feel they might have had 185-190.

  7. Vipers 141-4published at 16 overs

    Wellington 3, Morris 1

Four overs to go and Southern Vipers are 141-4, having been 134-1 just two overs ago.

This is why we love T20 cricket - the momentum changes so quickly and Western Storm have their tails up.

Amanda Wellington and Fi Morris need to get things going again with the bat.

    Beaumont c Nicholas b Shrubsole 33 (Vipers 138-4)

The prize wicket of Tammy Beaumont has fallen!

Out of nowhere Western Storm have momentum and can really restrict Southern Vipers here.

I guess that's why Storm won nine of their 10 group games - Beaumont goes for 33, caught by Claire Nicholas at short fine-leg off the bowling of Anya Shrubsole.

I think there were three runs there. That was a little disconnect with an international player trying to gain an advantage any way you can. Maia Bouchier is an accomplished young batter and hopefully she'll learn from that.

  10. Vipers 138-3published at 15 overs

    Beaumont 33, Wellington 1

After all that Southern Vipers are 138-3 with five overs left - any thoughts of a score around 200 seem a bit far-fetched now.

Amanda Wellington is in alongside Tammy Beaumont, who's 33 not out from 26 balls.

  11. wicket

Bouchier run out (Wilson) 0 (Vipers 136-3)

Two wickets in two balls for Western Storm!

Maia Bouchier shows her inexperience - getting herself run out for the second time today, having done so in the semi-final.

Tammy Beaumont wanted the third run but Bouchier didn't listen to her captain and had to sacrifice her wicket.

Southern Vipers 138-3 and rocking a tad.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

    Wyatt c Shrubsole b Sharma 73 (Vipers 134-2)

Western Storm finally have their woman!

Danni Wyatt caught going big by Anya Shrubsole for an immaculate 73 - including 10 fours and two sixes.

  13. 6 runs

    Vipers 134-1published at 14 overs

    Wyatt 73, Beaumont 30

Freya Davies bowls one slightly down leg and Tammy Beaumont helps it on its way for six over the square leg boundary.

It's another expensive over - Southern Vipers scoring 10 to take them to 134-1.

Is this getting away from Western Storm already?

  14. Watch: 'What a brilliant catch!' - Odedra's return catch removes Batespublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

Only one wicket so far for Western Storm - but what an effort it was from Sonia Odedra!

In the previous final meetings between Western Storm and Southern Vipers, the side batting second won on each occasion.

In 2016, the Vipers chased down a target of 141 in 18.5 overs, and 12 months later Storm reached 151-3 with 12 balls to spare after restricting their opponents to 145-5.

The highest first-innings score in a final is 183-6 by Surrey Stars against Loughborough Lightning 12 months ago.

  16. Vipers 124-1published at 13 overs

    Wyatt 71, Beaumont 22

Sonia Odedra's second over isn't as successful as her first, when she had Suzie Bates caught and bowled.

A couple loose balls go unpunished though Tammy Beaumont does get one away for her third boundary.

Southern Vipers are averaging around 9.5 runs an over, which'll be very difficult to keep if they maintain it.

This is where you need an experienced bowler to come on and shut Danni Wyatt down. She's looking unstoppable at the moment.

  18. dropped catch

    Vipers 117-1published at 12 overs

    Wyatt 70, Beaumont 16

Western Storm's Smriti Mandhana drops the easiest of easy catches on the boundary to dismiss Danni Wyatt - there's no excuse for that, really.

Wyatt strikes a one-bounce four off the last ball of the 12th over and Southern Vipers are 117-1 with eight overs still remaining.

Captain Tammy Beaumont seems happy playing a supporting role.

  19. Vipers 106-1published at 11 overs

    Wyatt 65, Beaumont 10

A much-needed decent over from Western Storm spinner Claire Nicholas, though Danni Wyatt of course still manages to lift one over the infield for four.

She's on 65 from 33 balls and the Vipers opener needs to be stopped soon you feel.
