  1. Loughborough 23-1published at 5 overs

    Atapattu 10, Adams 1

First change by the Vipers as off-spinner Danni Wyatt replaces Tash Farrant.

Her opening delivery almost squeezes through the defences of Chamari Atapattu, but an inside edge brings the Sri Lankan a single.

Georgia Adams, batting on the ground where her father Chris won County Championship titles with Sussex, picks up her first run as Wyatt completes a tidy first over.

  2. 'Bell's persistence pays off'published at 12:17 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

It's a shame for Amy Jones - I know she would've wanted to carry on her form.

That was just Lauren Bell's persistence and the simplicity of her bowling paying off.

  3. Loughborough 21-1published at 4 overs

    Atapattu 9, Adams 0

Georgia Adams is the new Lightning batter, but can make nothing from the first three balls she faces.

Only a wide from an excellent over by Lauren Bell.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 3.3 overs

    Jones b Bell 9 (Loughborough 21-1)

First appeal of the game as Bell goes up after striking Amy Jones on the pad, but it sounded like there was a little inside edge there.

No doubt about that, though, as Jones moves across to the off-side to attempt a delicate flip round the corner, but fails to make contact and is bowled.

That's a big wicket for the Vipers.

  5. 'Bell will play for England'published at 12:13 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

    Lauren BellImage source, Rex Features

Lauren Bell's height is a real x-factor for us at the moment - you don't often get girls able to get that bounce.

I'm sure with the right coaching and guidance she could be a really good player.

I've no doubt she'll play for England one day.

  6. Loughborough 20-0published at 3 overs

    Atapattu 9, Jones 9

Great start to the over by Amy Jones, who drills the ball back past a despairing Tash Farrant for four.

The England opener flicks a leg-side delivery down to long leg where a last-ditch dive by Lauren Bell denies her another boundary, and she has to settle for two.

She misses out as Farrant pulls one down short, with her powerful pull shot straight at the mid-wicket fielder, who takes the sting out of it and restricts Jones to a single.

  7. Loughborough 12-0published at 2 overs

    Atapattu 9, Jones 2

Lauren Bell is entrusted with the new ball from the other end. The 18-year-old has taken six wickets so far in the 2019 Super League and after Amy Jones collects a single, she goes past the outside edge of Chamari Atapattu's bat with an absolute beauty to the left-hander.

Bell certainly has an extra bit of zip and Atapattu is beaten again as she attempts an extravagant swipe at a wider delivery from the Vipers pace bowler before ending the over with two through the off-side.

  8. 'A promising start'published at 12:04 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

    Kate Cross
England seam bowler on BBC 5 Live Sports Extra

There's a little bit of movement there for Tash Farrant.

The outfield's fast - the spectators are in and want to see some good cricket, and this has been a promising start.

  9. Loughborough 8-0published at 1 over

    Atapattu 7, Jones 1

It's Sri Lanka's Chamari Atapattu on strike for Loughborough Lightning and she strokes the ball through backward point for a couple to get the scoreboard moving.

Amy Jones flicks her first run through square leg before Atapattu ends the over by driving an overpitched delivery from Tash Farrant back past the stumps for the game's opening boundary.

  10. Ready for the offpublished at 11:59 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

Right then, it's Loughborough Lightning to bat first as they look to reach the final for the second year in a row, and openers Amy Jones and Chamari Atapattu are walking past the Southern Vipers group huddle. Tash Farrant will open the bowling.

You ready for this? We are. Anticipation and excitement mingled together in a delicious blend.

I see runs, lots of runs.

  13. Semi-final form guidepublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

Southern Vipers v Loughborough Lightning (play starts 12:00)

It was honours even between Southern Vipers and Loughborough Lightning in their two group stage matches leading up to Finals Day.

The Vipers came out on top by two wickets at Loughborough as they chased down a target of 136 with three balls to spare despite a slump from 91-3 to 129-8.

But the tables were turned at the Ageas Bowl as Lightning piled up 163-4, thanks to Amy Jones' unbeaten 74 off 53 balls, and then bowled the Vipers out for 127.

Loughborough go into Finals Day on a six-game winning streak, but they will need to be at their best again with skipper Tammy Beaumont sure to have the Vipers fired up after losing their last two matches.

  15. Danni the danger?published at 11:46 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

Southern Vipers v Loughborough Lightning (play starts 12:00)

    Dani WyattImage source, Rex Features

There have only been two hundreds so far in this year's Super League.

Jemimah Rodrigues of Yorkshire Diamonds has the highest score of 112 not out - but just as spectacular was a brilliant 110 off 60 balls by Danielle Wyatt for Southern Vipers against Surrey Stars at Arundel.

The England batter plundered seven sixes and nine fours in her one-woman demolition job on the 2018 champions.

Loughborough had her number in last week's group stage meeting when she went first ball, but will Lightning strike twice - or will it be Danni's day again today?

  16. Running orderpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

And the final, with the winners taking on Western Storm, begins at 16:00.

The final Super League champions should be crowned some time before 19:00.

  19. Who will be the last Super League champions?published at 11:30 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

It's only been in existence for four years, but today the Women's Super League reaches the end of the road.

Next summer, the England and Wales Cricket Board's bold new creation will take centre stage in the form of The Hundred, which will feature men's and women's competitions.

Southern Vipers and Western Storm have both lifted the trophy before - and hope to do so again in a few hours' time, but Loughborough Lightning aim to scupper their hopes of a second success.

Welcome to our coverage of Finals Day. Let's hope Super League bows out in style.
