That's what we like to see cricket fans - yellow and orange.

It's set to be a scorcher in some parts of the UK today, warm in others and hot in the rest.

Basically, we'll be very unlucky not to get a full quota of overs in at all of our matches. But sometimes, bad luck just happens right?

We have seven matches getting underway today but Hampshire and Warwickshire couldn't wait to get started so their First Division meeting in Southampton is already a day old and they have already produced a run-fest.

Ian Holland compiled a century and Aneurin Donald blasted one as the hosts piled on the runs. Donald struck five sixes in his 173 and was out in the final over of day one, while Holland made 143 - his maiden first-class ton.

Welcome to your latest County Championship live text. With rest days at the Cricket World Cup and Wimbledon, we'd like to think that we truly are today's entertainment.

There is of course the Women's World Cup final but with England's footballers losing in the semis what better way to get your mind off that than with some quintessentially English cricket coverage.

And I promise, there won't be drivel written as badly as this for the rest of the day. I'm warming up, I hope.

    Anyway, here are your fixtures:

    Division One

    • Hampshire 450-6 v Warwickshire (day two)
    • Essex v Yorkshire (day one)
    • Somerset v Nottinghamshire (day one)
    • Surrey v Kent (day one)

    Division Two

    • Leicestershire v Durham (day one)
    • Middlesex v Gloucestershire (day one)
