Leicestershire get to the close for the loss of just one wicket at Grace Road.

They'll need another 335 runs tomorrow to pull off a very unlikely win.

His side are now off the bottom of Division Two.

If we're praising Roland-Jones, Tim Murtagh deserves a mention for his 5-44 that spearheaded his team in this second innings, securing a much-needed second victory of the season.

Sure enough, that's it for the day.

Sam Curran will resume tomorrow on 22 with Rikki Clarke unbeaten on 19.

Surrey already have a lead of 81, and they will believe if they can extend it to around 150 they can present Kent with a tricky final-day chase.

An intriguing morning lies ahead.

Bad light has brought a premature end to the first two days of this match.

If the same is true this evening Surrey will start the final day 81 runs ahead with four wickets in hand in their second innings.

Worcestershire will start the final day with five wickets in hand, needing another 217 runs to win. It looked like this game would be done tonight before a superb centurion stand between Callum Ferguson (71 not out) and Ben Cox (44 not out).

Maybe all three results are still possible...

Derbyshire huge favourites though.

What a result for Warwickshire. They looked dead and buried for most of the day but they have somehow held on thanks to Sam Hain, Ben Mike, Jeetan Patel and Henry Brookes.

Hain made his second century of the match and Mike bagged his maiden first-class 50 to give them hope before Patel and Brookes survived 27.2 overs in a ninth-wicket stand of 112. The Bears lost just five wickets all day.

Hampshire will be gutted, though. They have not won in the Championship since May and their title hopes are fading fast.

Bad light stops play for the day with Northamptonshire having batted themselves into a very strong position. With four wickets still in hand they lead by 341 runs, so you'd expect a little dart in the morning to set up a run chase and the home side could yet force victory.

Jeetan Patel has 63. Henry Brookes has 27.

This pair have added 96 for the ninth wicket and are within sight of a superb draw.

But it only takes one ball to take a wicket and Hampshire just need two. They have 18 chances remaining.

Jamie Overton clean bowls Jake Ball to take his fourth scalp of the innings and Somerset have impressively taken care of Nottinghamshire in just 43.5 overs. An emphatic win at Taunton that means they stay at the top of the Division One table.

Somerset were momentarily replaced by Essex earlier today after their victory over Yorkshire at Chelmsford, but that has been short-lived.

A real gap is now emerging to the chasing pack. This could be a two-horse title race now.

All of a sudden a draw is starting to look like the favourite result.

One more needed for Middlesex.

Tim Murtagh takes his fifth scalp by having Josh Shaw caught behind down the legside. Middlesex are about to climb off the bottom of the Division Two table.

Murtagh's figures are 5-38. Wow.

Jeetan Patel has 58. Henry Brookes has 17. The partnership is worth 73 for the ninth wicket and Patel has just taken six runs off two balls.

Kyle Abbott and Fidel Edwards are back on for Hampshire, who are looking for a first win in five games and looked certain to get it a couple of hours ago.
