WICKET Stevens c Donald b Edwards 60published at 14:23 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    Hampshire 409-9 dec v Kent 502-7

And now Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens is out thanks to a fine, diving one-handed catch by Hampshire's Aneurin Donald.

Stevens had begun to really loosen up so Hampshire and Fidel Edwards will be pleased to have him out of there, and end that partnership with Heino Kuhn.

Ollie Rayner is next in the middle for Kent, who are still closing on a three-figure lead at the Ageas Bowl.

TWO WICKETS for the Aussies at Canterburypublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

Australian XI 397, England Lions 75-3

Two quick wickets straight after lunch for Victoria's Chris Tremain at Canterbury.

The Sheffield Shield winner has Ben Foakes caught behind, then also removes former Kent batsman Sam Northeast in his next over, caught by Tremain's fellow Victorian Marcus Harris.

Dom Sibley is unmoved on 24, although he was dropped in the slips on 3.

He has now been joined by Gloucestershire's James Bracey, who is rapidly on to 13.

But the Lions are yet to roar.

Nine wickets on this track today. Different day, different game.

Incidentally, for anyone wondering where the BBC Five Live Extra commentary has disappeared to this afternoon, it will apparently be back up and running with Kevin Howells and Fabian Cowdrey at 5.30.

Mason Crane overpitches a low full toss and 43-year-old Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens swats the England spinner away for a six.

That's Stevens up to 48 and Kent 484-6 as they start to score more freely now.

Triple strike for Surreypublished at 14:08 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    Surrey 240 & 224-9, Nottinghamshire 116 & 73-7

It's almost all over at Trent Bridge.

In the space of a few minutes Samit Patel is trapped lbw by Amar Virdi, Steven Mullaney is caught at short leg off Gareth Batty and Batty has Liam Patterson-White caught at slip.

Three more wickets and that's it.

  6. YORKSHIRE ENFORCE FOLLOW-ONpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    No surprise there then.

Somerset are on their way out and need 324 to make Yorkshire bat again.

  7. England's World Cup win a proud day for Durham - Killeenpublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

England's astonishing World Cup win has been the talk of the whole country all day of course, even those who previously didn't like cricket.

But it went down particularly well in County Durham, where two of their local boys Ben Stokes and Mark Wood played such big roles.

And especially in the Durham dressing room, where the players watched following the end of their day's play in the home County Championship game with Worcestershire.

"Ben’s innings was phenomenal," Durham bowling coach Neil Killeen told BBC Radio Newcastle. "After going through what we went through in the T20 World Cup, that will mean everything to Ben. That’s the type of bloke he is.

Ben Stokes had the support of his Durham team-mate Mark Wood for that last dramatic ball at Lord's

"He’s a true professional. And he thoroughly deserved it. And obviously Mark Wood did well with the ball early on. Both lads are Durham through and through. To see them stand up and be presented with the trophy was a proud day for the club and the whole of the North East.

"The last half an hour was so exciting, especially with our head coach James Franklin being from New Zealand. The lads have been giving him some stick.

“I’m sure this will all have a huge knock-on effect. Kids are going to want to bowl like Jofra Archer and Mark Wood and bat like Ben Stokes.”

  8. Kuhn and Stevens impressing for Kentpublished at 14:01 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    Hampshire 409-9 dec v Kent 461-6

Heino Kuhn (82*) is pushing on for Kent, helping them past the 450 mark at Hampshire with veteran Darren Stevens alongside him on 28, having hit Mason Crane for a big straight six.

The pair are rotating the strike nicely and reach a 50 partnership from 95 balls, but with just one day left in the game is a result possible?

    Yorkshire 520, Somerset 196

They trail by 324 runs. Surely they'll be following on. The Championship leaders. Wow.

Keshav Maharaj takes 7-52, finishing the innings by having Somerset's Jack Brooks caught by Tom Kohler-Cadmore. What a performance from the Yorkshire spinner.

Jamie Overton is left stranded on 52.

Simon Hancock: Hopefully, this creates some new fans. However, it's worth noting that the ECB have decided to replace the domestic one day game with a new 100 ball tournament only played in seven cities. Good luck if you want to watch some live cricket next year!

Joe Clarke is bowled by Amar Virdi and the Surrey spinner is now on to 11 wickets for this match. He still has another six he could get!

    Could he, COULD HE?!

Champions Surrey are cruising to a quickfire win as things stand. Notts need a hero.

Henry Brookes celebratesImage source, Rex Features

Henry Brookes has a second wicket of the over for Warwickshire and Essex skipper Ryan ten Doeschate walks for five!

Earlier on Will Rhodes took wickets with the first and last ball of an over, and Brookes has repeated that feat.

Was it an inside edge onto the stumps? The ball certainly stayed low, and Essex are now 177-6 - leading by 261 with Adam Wheater next in.

  14. 50 runs

for Jamie Overtonpublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    Yorkshire 520, Somerset 178-8

Jamie Overton slaps a huge six to reach his 50 for Somerset. He's really having a go here. Pretty much every ball is either a boundary or an appeal for lbw.

    Swing, swing, swing.

  15. wicket

WICKET Patel c Banks b Brookes 15published at 13:43 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    Essex 245 & 169-5 v Warwickshire 161

It's a first wicket of the innings for Warwickshire's Henry Brookes, with Liam Banks taking the catch.

Patel managed 15 and Essex are 169-5, leading by 253 runs, with captain Ryan ten Doeschate in alongside Dan Lawrence.

  16. Lunch at Cheltenhampublished at 13:29 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    Leicestershire 92-2 v Gloucestershire

Leicestershire lose two wickets in the opening session with Colin Ackermann and Neil Dexter now at the crease. Ethan Bamber and Matt Taylor are the men to take the wickets for Gloucestershire.

  17. Middlesex set Glamorgan mammoth chasepublished at 13:27 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    Middlesex 384 & 342, Glamorgan 171

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

Middlesex have set Glamorgan a mammoth 556 to win, or five sessions to survive, after some carefree hitting in the Cardiff sunshine.

Sam Robson batted through the innings to reach 140 not out, sharing stands of 68 with Tom Helm and 76 with last man Tim Murtagh who played some outrageous shots to increase Glamorgan’s misery.

They claimed a couple of early wickets on day three but did not finish off the innings until after 1pm as Middlesex opted against a declaration.

The visitors piled up the runs without any real pressure, but it could be a different tale for Glamorgan unless the lively pitch flattens out in the sun.

  18. Lunch at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    Durham 212 & 120-2, Worcestershire 151

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

The sun is shining in Chester-le-Street and there's certainly a larger crowd in the ground today. There were 490 die-hards during World Cup final day yesterday. Whether today's larger crowd is a result of that, or the fine weather, remains to be seen.

Durham used the heavy roller this morning and Cameron Bancroft and Alex Lees put on 56 for the opening stand. It ended when Bancroft was caught behind for 28 off Ed Barnard.

It may be that Durham don't see Bancroft again this season. He's been called into the Australian pre-Ashes squad for a four-day game between the Australian Test side and A team in Southampton from 23 July.

It's his first call-up since the sandpaper row in March 2018.

  19. Lunchtime at Canterburypublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

Australian XI 397, England Lions 40-1

Warwickshire's Dom Sibley is on 13. His old Surrey team-mate Ben Foakes is on 3.

England Lions go to lunch on 40-1, for the loss of Kent's Zak Crawley, after earlier bowling out the Australians this morning for 397.

And that was all thanks to a stunning burst of five wickets in 18 balls from Surrey all-rounder Sam Curran.

  20. Lunch at Headingleypublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 15 July 2019

    Yorkshire 520, Somerset 164-8

Yorkshire and Kesh Maharaj's morning at Headingley as the South Africa left-arm spinner takes all four wickets. Somerset were always going to be up against it after the hosts made 520 and to be honest it looked like they could be all out before lunch.

Jamie Overton (37) and Tim Groenewald (11) are battling hard though.
