Another disappointing day in terms of the weather, but at least there was enough action in the County Championship title decider at Taunton to tee up what should be an intriguing finale.

Somerset achieved their target of a 200+ total, thanks to the enterprising batting of Roelof van der Merwe, who hit four sixes in his 60.

Now the onus is on their bowlers to try and rattle through the Essex batting line-up and keep their hopes of a first Championship title alive.

We'll have full coverage of day three in all nine Championship games tomorrow from about 10:00. See you then.
