Sri Lanka are so much better than the side we played 11 months ago.
Nicola Carey is back.
Aussie skipper Meg Lanning wasn't fussed about losing the toss, saying: "We were going to have a bowl so I don't think it really matters.
"It's a massive game for us and it looks like a typical Waca wicket."
Edged - but four!
Oh, Sanjeewani is living dangerously. Another sweep beats Healy and there’s frustration on everyone’s face as another four is added to the total. Ouch.
Ooft. Sanjeewani is almost stumped as she toppled over, aiming a heave at Gardner’s second ball, and then she somehow top edges a sweep over Healy’s head and picks up four for her troubles.
This wasn’t in Australia’s script...
Another change for Australia, with Ash Gardner brought in to the attack.

This seems to be a really clear for Sri Lanka. Anything wide of off stump, or down the leg side, they are throwing the kitchen sink at.

That's commitment. Not just the shot, but the catch as well. That was something special.
Oh, HELLO!
HUGE from Atapattu! My word, that’s enormous. A free swing of the bat, the ball flies over long off, and a gentleman in the crowd dives over the seats to take a terrific grab!
Chamari Atapattu isn’t the smoothest runner between the wickets. It’s a bit like watching me try and do a three point turn.
Oh that’s loose from Atapattu, a top edge swirling high into the air, but it somehow clears the keeper and the fielder at short fine leg for a one bounce four.
Double change for Australia, in the form of Delissa Kimmince.
Thimashini c Jonassen b Carey 20 (SL 38-2)
Gone!
An incredibly entertaining innings is over. Thimashini tries to send Carey over mid-off and Jonassen back-pedals slightly to take a comfortable catch.
Thimeshani leathers her first two balls back at Carey, who pulls off a hand ringer of a stop, before a full toss gets thumped for a single.
Meg Lanning moves the fielder in off the rope as Atapattu faces up - and the ball promptly gets blazed back past her for four!
This is fun.
Here’s Nicola Carey, who missed the India game.

Perry bowling three overs in a row suggests to me she wants to get them out of the way, or keep warm. I'm not a fan of bowling three overs in the powerplay.
Thimeshani 19, Atapattu 19
Ellyse Perry’s response is a bouncer that Thimeshani would have had to duck under even if she was on a step ladder.
And for good measure, Thimeshani wallops the sweetest of drives away to pick up yet another four.
My word. Thimashini charges at Perry as she starts her third over, but Alyssa Healy, stood far back, can’t roll the ball onto the stumps.
Ooh, no mistake there though! Four! Wide from Perry and she gets hammered over cover in response. Crash!

When you can't see the city, you know the rain is coming. It's dark over there at the moment.
What are you doing?!
Thimashini almost runs herself out twice in the space of 30 seconds, trying to take a single that was never there before stumbling and tumbling and somehow scrambling back home.
Thimashini sweeps a single off her second ball from the left-arm spinner, before Atapattu wallops her for four!
Oh, Atapattu is so fun. She’s down on one knee and heaves a huge slog sweep over backward square.
