Not out!
It probably would have knocked over the stumps but the ball pitched a smidge outside leg stump.
That's another one the umpires have got wrong and another review West Indies have got right.

It's hit the back leg, I don't think he's hit it.
Given this time!
It was much fuller and Anderson found the pad of left-handed Campbell.
With a second left on the clock, the opener reviews.

Ian: 204 is nowhere near enough runs in a first innings. Expect a stressful next three days.
Phillip Perks: Crazy not to pick Broad in conditions like this!
Another appeal. This time John Campbell has shouldered arms to Anderson and is hit on the back thigh.
Looked close. Going over? Captain Stokes decides against a review.

Fantastic stuff again. Being left and right handed, it's important to rotate the strike. Positive intent, turning ones into two. Very good stuff.

These two West Indies openers have rotated the strike very well so far. Plenty of singles already.
A 91mph delivery from Archer brings about the first real appeal but that looked to be sneaking past leg stump. A better length from Jofra.

These two bowlers offer something different. You have Anderson who swings it both ways, consistency, full of length. Then you have Archer hitting the deck hard, very tall with consistency and bounce.

Mark Wood has Jimmy Anderson's cap plonked on top of his own while the England veteran bowls. Bowlers are not allowed to give their caps to the umpires under the new coronavirus rules.
West Indies will be happy with their early work.

The umpires do have their light meters to hand. Every now and again it does feel a bit gloomy out there.
We still take him for granted, don't we? A remarkable human.
No luck for Archer. He's perhaps a tad short going off what we saw earlier from Holder and Gabriel.

Arjun: Jimmy is astonishing. Aged 37 and still bowling at 86mph.

You wouldn't mind that if you're Archer or Stokes. It's very challenging for Campbell do that consistently and get away with it. But that's how he plays.
I told you John Campbell likes to swing. He strides forward to Archer's seventh delivery and skews the ball through gully. Not quite where he aimed.

Back on the haircut theme. One thing is for certain: I wouldn't let Mark Wood anywhere near my hair with a set of clippers.
Anderson is finding a hint of swing.

The benefit of England batting first is that they have had the chance to see the conditions - and how best to use them.
Back-to-back beauties from Anderson to Brathwaite. Not much you can do about them. It looks like Jimmy has found the groove early.

Ben Stokes is the eighth different Test captain that James Anderson has played under.
I much prefer the idea of nominating one player as ateam barber.
If I had to choose I think I'd go for Joe Denly. He always looks smart and seems a sensible chap too.
Thoughts?
