A handy start from Mark Wood.

First he finds the edge but the ball drops short of slip. Then he goes full and quick - very quick at 93.5mph - and beats the driving Shai Hope for pace. That wasn't too far from off stump.

    Good start from Wood.

Jerusalem is belted out around the empty ground again. The sun beams down for the first time in the match.

Here we go with day three.

Mark Wood has three balls of his over to finish.

Strangely, there are a lot of mangoes knocking around the bio-bubble. It would seem that one of the commentators knows someone nearby who has mangoes, so he took a delivery of a couple of boxes. Unsure of what to do with his loot, he's been dishing them out to whoever wants one.

England vice-captain Jos Buttler on TMS: "It looks like we'll get a full day's cricket which is nice. We need to bowl with discipline today. We were disappointed not to score more runs but we need to make it as big as possible by bowling with discipline."

On the decision to bat first: "There are many good reasons for us to bat first. The weather has been good for bowling over the first couple of days but we'll see how the day unfolds and the wicket plays. If we bowl well we can put ourselves in a good position."

I think the ball will do something this first hour or so. There will be a slight uneven bounce and two pace nature of this wicket. England will have to bowl slightly better than they did last night.

If we needed a reminder as to why Jason Holder is ranked as the number one all-rounder in the world we got it on day two.

    He was majestic.

Holder definitely took the first round in the battle of the all-rounders with Ben Stokes.

"I'm sure we'll have a good rivalry over these next couple of weeks, as we've had in the past," Holder said last night.

"He's a competitor, a really good cricketer," Holder said. "I'm sure he'll be in my face when we come to bat."

    Good morning.

England's position in this match is by no means terminal but they have work to do.

Jason Holder's brilliance, supported by Shannon Gabriel and some gritty batting, has given West Indies the upper hand. The tourists will resume 57-1 this morning, 147 runs behind England.

After seeing West Indies cause havoc in gloomy drizzle on the first two days, England now have to bowl themselves back into the match in what look like perfect batting conditions.
