I'm not sure how much Shannon can add. The boys should be putting the clothes on , ready to go out again. They will just be happy if he isn't hit or injured.

Here's Shannon Gabriel. It's fair to say anything West Indies get now is a bonus.

    Stokes will be eyeing five.

Dowrich is such an honest man.

That's nice to see. He just turned and walked off.

    Dowrich c Buttler b Stokes 61 (WI 313-9)

    Four for captain Stokes!

It's not pretty - and he's still hobbling through the pain - but Stokes won't care. Shane Dowrich had played beautifully but nicks one down the leg side.

To Dowrich's credit he just turns and walks. He knew he'd hit it.

  6. WI 309-8published at 100 overs

    Dowrich 57, Roach 0

The big question before this series was whether West Indies batting could stand up to England's bowling. On first evidence it's a big yes.

Shane Dowrich survives Wood's over, perfectly taking three runs off the final ball to keep the strike.

There once was a bowler called Wood, Who really was rather good. He bowled at 90 miles an hour, And made batsmen cower. Bowl more often? He definitely should.

    Lead by 102

Stokes has 3-41 from 13 overs. That was a really good delivery, crashing into the top of off.

Joseph did his job though. He got West Indies' lead beyond 100. He was a whole lot of fun too...

In these last couple of sessions the bounce has been the best it has all Test. Will it deteriorate? And how much will it deteriorate?

That's Ben Stokes' 150th Test wicket. He's good.

Just two wickets to go. Kemar Roach can hold is own but Shannon Gabriel is a proper number 11.

The wicket falls to absolute silence. He played well there, supported Dowrich and then goes and misses a straight ball.

  12. wicket

    Joseph b Stokes 18 (WI 306-8)

A ball after Alzarri Joseph edged a second one through the slips, Ben Stokes knocks his stumps over.

There's no celebration from England's captain. Just a glare.

Stokes is going to be fuming. But he's in charge, he's the one setting the field.

  14. WI 300-7published at 98.1 overs

Argh. More frustration for the hobbling Stokes. He takes out a slip and Joseph edges through that region down to third man for four.

West Indies reach 300. The lead is now 96. Surely a 150-run lead that Sir Alastair mentions would be match-winning?

Ben Stokes was grimacing in his previous over and holding his boot.

It seems to be an issue with his big toes on his left foot. The 12th man has come on with a plaster and an extra sock. There was a bit of blood there when he took off his boot.

Stokes is still going to continue.

If the tail wags here, it will make a huge difference for West Indies. A 150 or 160 lead by slogging a few, that's a big lead on a wicket like this.

Joseph seems to have listened, getting in behind and knocking a single. He's even happy to keep the strike.

Wood has bowled better than his figures suggest. He's kept his pace up all day, close to that 90mph mark.

  19. WI 293-7published at 97.2 overs

Shane Dowrich has come down for a word with Alzarri Joseph after the 23-year-old tried to take on a Wood bouncer. He skewed it over the slips, about 180 degrees away from where he was aiming.
