Roston Chase has five! It's 5-143, not quite a flattering as his 8-60 last year but a five-wicket haul nonetheless.

    He loves playing against England.

Sam Curran tries to hurries things along and picks out backward point on the reverse sweep.

Jason Holder is surely too nice a man to sledge. He has a word with Dom Bess after the England number 10 plays and misses at his first ball but it's all very friendly.

Alzarri Joseph has taken a good catch but he was so surprised it got to him.

England's bowlers might want to start warming up. Jos Buttler has a big swing but skies the ball to Alzarri Joseph on the leg-side boundary.

Joseph seemed to lose the ball in the sun and looks amazed he's taken the catch.

Throw in the lack of crowd or celebration from West Indies and you wouldn't know a wicket has fallen at all.

I'd want at least 12, maybe 15, overs tonight if I were captain.

  8. Eng 424-7published at 154 overs

    Buttler 39, Curran 15

Sam Curran looks to be revving into gear now. He nails a powerful shot to long-on on the bounce, signalling his increasing intent, before sweep Chase for four.

Michael Smith: I'd add Tim Paine, came across really well in the Test doco and in the way he gets on with others.

12th man James Bracey wanders on at the end of Jason Holder's over with a drink and a pair of gloves for Jos Buttler. A message from the dressing room too perhaps?

It's worth tuning in to tonight's highlights just for that one Ben Stokes six over mid-wicket. Outrageously good.

Zaltz looks like he could be starting a bio-secure DJ set there. I'd love to know his playlist. Maybe Stephan can investigate for us.

We're at the stage where we're all on Joe Root watch up in the dressing room as a possible declaration nears. For now he's still in his training kit which suggests we'll have to wait a bit longer.

Jason Holder replaces Kemar Roach with Roach having nipped off the field at the end of a fine spell. I think he's just gone for a breather after bowling his heart out.

He bowled a lovely delivery to see off Chris Woakes first ball a little earlier...

The nets are busy. Players from both sides in there, Chris Read putting Ben Foakes through some wicketkeeping drills.

Fourth umpire Alex Wharf has spent a lot of time on the West Indies balcony, but has just had to wander all the way around the boundary to get to his quarters in the pavilion.

On the boundary edge, Rahkeem Cornwall holds court with some of the subs. Only Sam Curran's six wakes the ground from a snooze in the afternoon sunshine.

Tuffers, you came up in a stat I was researching last night.

The most wicketless overs by a bowler at a single Test ground - you're second on the list! 480 balls in Antigua in two Tests, with figures of 0-212.
