Pope and Buttler just starting to pick up the pace a tad when they can - nine from that over.
A similar shot from Ollie Pope to this one from earlier but much more controlled.
Ollie Pope cuts late to put away a wide ball with aplomb through third man for four.

Darkness has descended very quickly. The floodlights are on and if they weren't, the umpires may be starting to get twitchy. At first slip, Rahkeem Cornwall is in a state of perpetual motion. Always side to side, one foot to the other, arms swinging. On the Windies balcony, Roston Chase gets some stick for his effort at catching Ollie Pope. "Oh, Chasey!"
Shannon Gabriel strays down the leg side and Jos Buttler just has to get any part of the bat on it to help it on its way to the boundary for four.

Roston Chase didn't get any hands on that in the end. It was a false shot from Ollie Pope and Chase had a lot of ground to make up. It would have been a spectacular catch and he made a valiant attempt.
Though you won't average 80 in Tests with shots like this.
Ollie Pope gets himself in a tangle, miscuing a pull shot that shoots up in the air.
Roston Chase scampers back towards mid-wicket, puts in the full length dive, but can't quite get there.
The players get to choose their numbers - hence Root 66.
Maybe Pope is setting a target for his Test average?

I wondered if anyone can tell me how the numbers get allocated to the players? How Ollie Pope gets 80 etc?

Shane Dowrich is having a nightmare.
Shane Dowrich is having a very ropey day behind the stumps.
He shells another ball - punching it down to third man and allowing England to pick up three byes.
It really looks like he's standing too deep.

That is a beautiful shot. Jos Buttler will be happy with that, he is looking for a bit of confidence and a score.

That's a nice shot on the up. That's a nice way for the over to end.
Lovely stuff, Joseph.
Buttler strokes a superb off-drive straight down the ground for four.

I'm going to guess that Tim in London (15:56) has never fielded at slip to a spinner and had a full-blown cut shot edged in his direction. Brilliant reaction catch from Cornwall - pure slipper's instinct.

Ollie Pope has got away with that. He was a bit stiff-legged and it flew down to third man very quickly. Kemar Roach has a rueful smile on his face.
Ollie Pope flashes hard at a wide one and sends it through backward point for four off a thick outside edge.
That's one part of his game where Pope could do with being even more like Ian Bell, who wouldn't go as hard at the ball when driving square.
Kemar Roach gives a wry smile.

Jos Buttler averages 14 against Jason Holder in Tests.
Jos Buttler is doing his best Dom Sibley impression, leaving everything outside off from Jason Holder well alone.
Holder strays onto the pads, Buttler whips it away but picks out the fielder.
Buttler solidly defends the last. Holder has yet another maiden.
