  2. Eng 134-4published at 55 overs

Good running from Ollie Pope as he scampers two off the last ball of the over.

Jason Holder has a smile on his face but it's not a happy one, it's more of a grimace. He's like 'why was I not standing a bit further forward?'

  4. Eng 132-4published at 54.5 overs

    Careful now, Mr Pope.

The Surrey young gun prods uncertainly at one from Kemar Roach and edges it just short of Jason Holder at second slip.

  5. Eng 131-4published at 54.1 overs

Hahaha. Shane Dowrich has dropped another ball that moved a bit after passing the bat.

Jason Holder goes up to him, removes his cap and tousles his hair.

    Cheers, skip.

    Phil Tufnell
Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

It's quite an important knock for Jos Buttler and England. You're not particularly thinking the lower order are going to score 100 runs for you and it feels like England have batted with that in the back of their mind.

  7. Eng 131-4published at 54 overs

    Pope 24, Buttler 2

Jason Holder gets it to lift off a length and Ollie Pope defends it away off the splice of his bat.

Pope sees off a maiden to start the session.

Ollie Pope and Jos Buttler are returning to the middle.

    Huge session ahead.

We’ve heard lots about which/how many seam bowlers to play, but nothing about the spinners. With 10 right-handers in the WI side, why aren’t we playing left-armer (and redoubtable batsman) Jack Leach?

Of course, if we did that, they’d have to pick the best available wicketkeeper (and excellent batsman) Ben Foakes to make the stumpings. And the selectors obviously don’t want to do that.

The curiosity that is the England Test team. Only Rory Burns and Dom Sibley have done the same job for each of the three Tests. Zak Crawley has gone from four, to three, to out of the team. Jos Buttler has got no runs and been promoted. Dom Bess has gone from eight, to 10, back to eight. The length of the tail has doubled, arguably tripled, in the space of a week.

How is that a sensational catch? That's a basic slip catch which is taken well but hardly sensational!

England resumed on 66-2 after lunch and, for a while, it looked like Rory Burns and Ben Stokes would fully capitalise on improved batting conditions.

    Cheers Callum.

Absolutely crucial final session in store today.

At this scoring rate and with a longer tail, England can probably only afford to lose one wicket at most before the close.

Though can Ollie Pope and Jos Buttler tick the scoreboard along a bit quicker?

A few wickets and West Indies are firmly on top.
