Chase lbw Broad 9 (WI 73-5)

What's the only thing we'd been missing from Stuart Broad today? Yep - it's the celebrappeal.

And if you were ever not going to turn around to appeal to the umpire for an lbw, it would be this.

Nipped back in and trapping Roston Chase on the knee roll dead in front. Umpire's call on middle stump at worst.

Chase knew as well and trudges straight off, no thought of a review.

Facing James Anderson in England is downright unfair.

It's pretty unfair in most places in the world too.

James Anderson's spell either side of tea was 6-4-4-2.

  4. WI 73-4published at 34 overs

Well played by Jermaine Blackwood, getting up on top of the bounce from Jofra Archer to play it safely back down the pitch.

This could be a nice little passage of play because Jermaine Blackwood was uncomfortable against Jofra Archer at Southampton. He went around the wicket and just bombed him.

  6. WI 73-4published at 33.3 overs

Roston Chase times it nicely off his pads through square leg and Stuart Broad makes a fine diving stop to keep it to three runs.

  7. WI 70-4published at 33.2 overs

Jofra Archer finds the outside edge of Roston Chase's bat but it drops short of Ben Stokes at second slip and the ball streaks away for a couple.

A superb spell from James Anderson comes to an end.

He removed Shamarh Brooks straight after tea and could've had Jermaine Blackwood but for this overturned lbw...

Jofra Archer is coming on to bowl.

Roston Chase was stuck on the crease there.

  10. WI 67-4published at 33 overs

More quality bowling from Stuart Broad as he beats Roston Chase's bat.

Virtual Mountain: Unless Jason Holder suddenly turns into Gary Sobers, I can't see WI getting much more than 150 in the first innings. The West Indies top order are horribly out of form this series.

  12. WI 65-4published at 32 overs

Superb stuff from James Anderson once again, getting the last one to nip back and hit Jermaine Blackwood on the glove.

In the last 10 overs - the four before Tea and six after - there have been just seven runs and two wickets.

Blackwood drived at that wildly, suddenly out of nowhere. He threw his hands at that and Stuart Broad is standing there, looking at him, with some bewilderment. That can't have been far from the outside edge.

  15. WI 62-4published at 30.2 overs

Jermaine Blackwood unfurls a big yahoo of a drive against Stuart Broad and misses.

Broad just looks at him, his face saying: "What are you doing that for?!"

Peter Robinson: Jimmy's average in England over the last 2 years is 16 and Broad is bowling the quickest he ever has. Take age out of it and they are bowling arguably as well as they ever have done

  17. WI 62-4published at 30 overs

James Anderson sends down an over so well controlled you'd be staggered if he conceded a run off it.

    Sure enough, he doesn't.

The clouds have lifted slightly which is good because I was starting to worry over tea that we were getting close to the level where we went off yesterday.

  19. WI 62-4published at 29 overs

Ben Stokes is showing off an unfortunately-placed damp patch on his whites that has Joe Root in fits of laughter.

Meanwhile, Stuart Broad sends down another fine over, just one from it.
