The declaration has arrived. The purgatory ends for the Pakistan bowlers.
Eng 583-8
Yep, Joe Root signals for Dom Bess to come back in.
England declare on 583-8.
Broad b Shaheen 15 (Eng 583-8)
Bowled him. Stuart Broad makes some space and is beaten by a fuller delivery from Shaheen, the ball clattering into the stumps.
Declaration?
Shaheen Afridi returns to the attack. He has had a tough time in this Test. He really did struggle in that stop-start morning session.
If Root declares at the end of the over, England will have 13 overs to bowl to Pakistan. Although it looks like Jofra Archer is padded up in the dressing room. So, expect this to go on? Who knows. I'm guessing.

There was a lot of applause from the England dressing room for that six from Dom Bess.
Well timed and nicely placed by Dom Bess as he hangs back, swings his axe and chops Yasir Shah down to backward point for four.
And he follows that with a huge swipe to the leg side for six more. He really got hold of that.

There's no real movement on the England balcony. Joe Root has his whites on, but Dom Sibley and Zak Crawley are still in training gear.
Asad Shafiq bowls a much wider line as Broad swings and misses a couple of deliveries.
Pakistan just going through the motions here.

That's another huge six from Stuart Broad. He got hold of that one.
Broad 14, Bess 14
Another big six from Stuart Broad as he sweeps Asad Shafiq into the stands.

I make that the first authentic drop of the innings.
Eng 563-7
Dom Bess advances down the wicket, he skies it, it goes high and Naseem Shah, running to mid-on, doesn't quite settle and fumbles the catch.
Tough but you expect it to be taken at this level. Even if you have been in the field for nearly 152 overs.

I think Pakistan gave up the ghost a couple of hours ago. Since lunch, their body language has been pretty resigned, and the bowling changes have shown that.
There we go, Stuart Broad is off the mark by sweeping Fawad Alam for six.

It was Mohammad Abbas chasing it, to be fair...

That's gone for four! That's outrageous! The fielder just gave up.
Joe Root may have been in his whites but Zak Crawley and a couple of the other England players are still in their blue training tops and looking pretty relaxed on the balcony.
Yasir Shah floats it in and Dom Bess chops it past substitute fielder Shadab Khan at point for four. It should have really been stopped by the chasing fielder, though.
That boundary brings up England's 550.

There's a twirl of Ravi Jadeja in Fawad Alam's moustache.
So I was wrong with my declaration prediction.
And Fawad Alam nearly has three to his name as Stuart Broad edges his first delivery to slip, the ball falling just short.

That looks like a Stuart Broad to me! This might be fun...
