    Pak 16-0

No way?! Jos Buttler who has been brilliant behind the stumps in this match, has dropped an absolute sitter. And guess who was bowling? Yep, Jimmy Anderson.

It was a thick edge from Shan Masood and it was completely misjudged by Buttler, the ball flying over his cupped hands and into his midriff.

FOUR catches dropped off Anderson now.

Rory Burns has asked for a new finger protector, and it has completely bamboozled the 12th man, who doesn't know what he's on about.

The slip cordon looks to have come up quite a way. The ball has kept rather low.

  7. Pak 16-0published at 4 overs

    Abid 12, Masood 3

Close! Stuart Broad has Abid Ali edging just short of Rory Burns at second slip.

Broad then offers up a freebie, a half-volley which is whipped for four by Abid. There to be hit.

To check on Ollie Pope's shoulder history, I went to a well-known search engine and also discovered that Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope has suffered a dislocation in the past. Must be something in the water at the Vatican.

You could see straight away from his reaction how much it hurt. We hope it's nothing too bad.

Anderson continues as the Pakistan opening pair take a single each, courtesy of a dab and run.

The England seamer beats the outside edge of Abid Ali. That wasn't too far from how he was dismissed in the first innings.

Oh dear, buzzers! An unnecessary throw from substitute fielder James Bracey, with nobody backing up, gifts Pakistan five runs.

Ollie Pope is heading off - he's holding his left shoulder.

  14. Pak 3-0published at 2 overs

    Masood 2, Abid 0

No surprises as Stuart Broad is second to bowl in Southampton. And there are the first runs from the bat as a thick edge for Shan Masood sends the ball racing down to the third man boundary. Ollie Pope, in pursuit, seems to have injured himself with a diving stop.

He slid in, pulled the ball back and straight away he held his left shoulder. There's a real uncomfortable look on his face as he trudges back to the dressing room.

There's a little hint of movement.

  16. Pak 1-0published at 1 over

Just the one extra from the over as Anderson bowls outside the off stump and has the ball moving away from Abid Ali. The final delivery swings in to Abid but the line is too wide from Jimmy and the Pakistan opener allows it go by.

To be stood out there... for me, as a fan of England cricket, it would be unbelievable. Everyone is behind him - trying to grab hold of the catches to help! He's England's greatest."
