Banton is now reading Shadab well. That was another great shot. Signs he is pushing on now.

Banton hoicks Shadab again, the fielder is interested but it just clears him. Banton then adds another maximum with a flatter strike into the stands beyond mid-wicket.

I am surprised we have not seen this shot already from Tom Banton. He is well known for his inventiveness. We saw him play that a lot in the Big Bash.

This is the joint-longest it has taken England to reach 50 since the last World Cup.
Extraordinary shot from Banton, Jos Buttler-style, scurrying across his stumps to scoop the Haris slower ball to the fine-leg fence and then Malan thumps a delightful drive through the covers for his second boundary.
Will Pakistan pay the price for this...?
Banton 28, Malan 18
After that six, just the three singles from the remainder of the Shadab over.

Because the players have to go and get the ball, we could be waiting quite a while if it goes into the second tier.

That was a sensible shot. Banton used the wind and executed it brilliantly.
He's got hold of this one though, a massive six over mid-wicket from Banton against the spin of Shadab.

Tom Banton just can't get going here.
Pakistan mixing up their pace expertly here and Banton unable to find his timing, a huge attempted pull only resulting in an inside edge into his pad. Just the three boundaries so far for England and batting looks difficult out there.

It did look close. Luckily for Dawid Malan he has got an inside edge on it.
Eng 37-1
Big inside edge there, Malan can continue on 16 and umpire Mike Burns is happy to be proved correct with his decision.

It's not missing the stumps. It is a matter of where it has pitched.
Pakistan are going to try a review here after Malan is given not out with an lbw appeal.
The rapid Haris Rauf is the new bowler in only his fourth T20 international and he begins with a leg-side wide - at 86mph.

It seems like these two have been struggling to get used to the pace of the pitch.
Umpire Alex Wharf had to sanitise the ball there after an inadvertent use of saliva from the tourists. Banton manages to club Amir away to the mid-wicket fence. The end of the powerplay and just the three boundaries for England. What's going to be a good total here?

It feels lonely at times playing without a crowd - hearing leather on willow echoing around the ground. To be honest, I haven't enjoyed it.
