  1. Ire 12-0published at 4.3 overs

Lovely from David Willey, the ball just sliding past the outside edge of Paul Stirling's defensive prod, before another cross-batted swipe finds the man at square leg.

A turn off the hip from Stirling breaks the scoring deadlock.

It’s a lovely view from the socially distanced TMS commentary box.

  3. Ire 11-0published at 4 overs

Close for Reece Topley, as Gareth Delany aims an awkward-looking shovel at his third ball and nearly edges behind.

Delany is still on nought, and he'll stay that way for a while longer. Back-to-back maidens for England.

It's not huge banana swing but it's just offering.

Hmm. A bit of a grimace from David Willey as he finishes up the over...

Stirling hits the ball in strange areas, a small, stout man, he can manoeuvre straight balls into gaps.

  7. Ire 11-0published at 3 overs

Another couple of aggressive hoicks from Paul Stirling miss the ball entirely, and David Willey whistles through a tidy maiden.

I quite like the fact Ireland have taken the same approach, they could easily have bowled first after the first game. For the underdog side the likeliest way to win is bat first and get runs on the board.

  9. Ire 11-0published at 2 overs

Shot! That'll be four more for Paul Stirling, this time letting the ball come to him and placing it delicately through the covers.

There doesn't seem to be much swing there, although Topley gets a little more joy with Gary Delany on strike. He pushes a ball across the batsman, who prods loosely forward, and it flies through to Jonny Bairstow at a decent height.

Just had to vacate my room for housekeeping. I've not said that before at a cricket match.

  11. Ire 6-0published at 1.1 overs

And, predictably, Reece Topley's first ball is punched back down the ground by Paul Stirling.

Just a bit overpitched from Topley and Stirling can easily plonk it back down the ground. Funny game, cricket.

It is 1,597 days since Reece Topley's last England appearance. That was way back in 2016 at the T20 World Cup - 'remember the name' and all that.

He's had a number of stress fractures since.

It's good to see him back.

And it'll be Reece Topley to share new ball duties.

  14. Ire 2-0published at 1 over

Ooft. A waft outside off stump from Paul Stirling, just about avoiding edging behind, a shot hot in the heels of a horrible hoick across the line.

Stirling gets off the mark with a thick outside edge, before Gareth Delany sees off the rest of the over.

Batting is now about more of a power game, scores are going up and up which is great, but if you get a bowling unit on song and you attack you can find yourself in trouble. No-one took the responsibility of seeing off Willey the other day. It took young Campher to do it on debut.

  16. Ire 1-0published at 0.0 overs

The players and match officials take a knee first up.

David Willey jogs in and spears his first ball down the leg side for a wide.

David Willey, optimistically sporting a sun hat, whille open things up for England.

It's Paul Stirling and Gareth Delaney at the crease for Ireland.

    Cricketers! On the field!

I love England's ODI shirt so much. Such a good colour.

Eoin Morgan talking to TMS: "Sam Billings and Dave Willey were outstanding the other day. If we can get other guys to produce on game day we'll produce a more collective performance. We need to try and get experience to build a bigger squad going into the next World Cup."

We're going to start on time, is the good news.

England are milling about on the balcony. Jonny Bairstow is having a long chat with Paul Collingwood.
