It sounded so good off the bat. It was like a gun shot.

Short and wide from David Willey and Paul Stirling gives it the treatment it deserves as he slaps to the cover fence.

Stirling then guides one past Adil Rashid at short fine leg and substitute Liam Livingstone does superbly running around to save one.

Stirling can be a frustrating man to watch if you're an Ireland cricket fan.

We've already spoke about Gareth Delany's eccentric batting style in this series. He holds the bat high up in the air, baseball like, and has his hands higher up the handle than I've ever seen before.

I feel like it contributes to a lack of foot movement as he gets stuck on the crease twice and has a horrid waft at the ball.

There's an appeal for lbw but Delany got a healthy inside edge on it.

Mahmood has got a really good line and length, asking the questions. I don't think Ireland pitched the ball up enough.

Paul Stirling heaves over mid-on for a couple - that was a really ugly stroke.
