That's a glorious shot to get off the mark. It rocketed to the boundary. Paul Stirling is going to have to have a big impact on this game if Ireland are going to get near this total.

Even with England's dearth of spinners it must be time to start looking for a replacement for Moeen. He is 33, he has an ODI bowling average of 49 and its been 3 years since he got any proper ODI runs.

So far in this series Ireland have been 28-5 and 44-4, they can't afford that kind of start today if they are going to get anywhere near the 329 they need.

Chris Mitchell: That’s some comeback from England. Great knocks from the skipper & young Banton with David Willey proving again what an excellent all-round cricketer he is. Even when the Test players return, he simply has to stay in this ODI side.

England's Test team are in action against Pakistan tomorrow - barely a good night's sleep after this game finishes.

The news from Emirates Old Trafford is that England will wait on Ben Stokes' fitness before naming their team for the first Test in the three-match series.

The all-rounder played as a specialist batsman in the third Test against West Indies because of a quad injury, but he has bowled in practice on Monday and Tuesday.

Whether England decide to risk him remains to be seen.

A strange innings from England in many ways.

A top order collapse left them 44-3 before captain Eoin Morgan came in and mashed the ball to all parts to make a spectacular century.

He and Tom Banton (58) looked to be putting England on course for 350-400 but Ireland came back by taking 4-26.

Even then Sam Billings and David Willey (51) started to take it away from Ireland before another fight back.

And then Tom Curran (38 not out) added some vital lower-order runs to swing it England's way again.

Plenty of highs and lows for both sides.
