  1. Rushworth's 7-for keeping Durham in it?published at 14:37 British Summer Time 8 September 2020

    Nottinghamshire (422) lead Durham (294 & 13-0) by 115 runs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle at Trent Bridge

Has Chris Rushworth, Durham's Mr Dependable, bowled his side back into this one?

He has taken 7-108 to dismiss Notts for 422. But they have a decent lead of 128 over Durham. Four of his wickets came after lunch as Notts lost their last five men for just 15 runs in four overs.

Ben Raine got the other, which was deserved after seeing so many chances put down in the field off his bowling. He gave off a loud yelp as he got Tom Moores lbw for 48.

Joe Clarke was the first to fall after lunch, edging Rushworth to Sean Dickson in the slips on 133. He added 117 runs after Dickson dropped him yesterday.

Rushworth's figures are his third best in first-class cricket, but don't quite match the 9-67 Graham Onions took here in 2012 after being released by England. He also ran out Luke Fletcher that day.

    You favourite Ian Bell moment

Tom Carr: Strangely, the "moment" I remember the most is the noise of the crowd when Bell walked back out after tea having been invited back in by India!

I'd forgot about that. Bell thought he'd struck the last ball of the afternoon session for four and began walking off the field. Turns out the ball stayed in play and India ran him out while he was half way to the boundary. Thankfully MS Dhoni later withdrew his appeal.

    Worc 200 v Somerset 251 & 149-7

Tom Lammonby only made his first-class debut this summer.

He looks like a real talent. The 20-year-old is on 86 and Somerset move to 149-7, with a lead of 200 runs.

Too early to start talking about a declaration at New Road?

  4. 50 runs

50 for Zak Crawleypublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 8 September 2020

    (Kent 170 & 86-1) need 95 more runs to beat Hampshire (191 & 159)

And in no time at all, Zak Crawley brings up his 50.

He was dropped on 35 literally seconds after I posted that previous update.

Ajeet Dale put him down at mid-on off Tom Scriven and his error also cost four runs.

A couple more dismissive strokes from the right-hander and he reaches his 50 off just 44 balls with 10 fours.

    Glam 203 v Warwickshire 186 & 168-2

    Ahh I can't look.

Ian Bell gets a pull shot all wrong and it lands just in front of an onrushing fielder.

The first one he's mistimed today. He moves onto 70.

  7. Crawley tucking in for Kentpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 8 September 2020

    (Kent 170 & 67-1) need 114 more runs to beat Hampshire (191 & 159)

Zak Crawley (35 not out) appears to be rediscovering his fine touch of the last few weeks in England colours following his first-innings duck at Canterbury.

A couple of sumptuous boundaries off Scott Currie move him into the 30s for Kent in their chase of 181 in this one.

Marcus O'Riordan (22 not out) providing support at the other end in a partnership worth 59 so far.

  8. One point in bag for Yorkshirepublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 8 September 2020

Yorkshire (200-5) lead Leicestershire (124) by 76 runs

That's one of the five batting bonus points secured for Yorkshire that they will need to keep their slim hopes of reaching the final alive.

Jonny Tattersall (54 not out) has a half-century to his name while Jordan Thompson (34 not out) is playing the support role at the other end for this sixth wicket.

Yorkshire need to get to 400 by 110 overs or their final hopes are dashed.

  9. Postpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 8 September 2020

    Glam 203 v Warwickshire 186 & 155-2

Ian Bell and Sam Hain have just brought up the 100 partnership for the Bears.

Hain also reaches his own half century off 106 balls.

Bell meanwhile looks in fabulous form on 62 from 93.

Six and out for Lewis Gregory who top-edges it to Jake Libby after smashing a maximum in the previous over.

Somerset still have opener Tom Lammonby in on 67 and their lead is now up to 171.

You'd think that'd be enough at New Road.

Stui Neale: Favourite Ian Bell moment? Every time he played for England, always count on him for a good score.

Guys, your favourite moment can't just be every time a batter bats. I mean for that to happen, you've got to have a player who is utterly beautiful to watch in every innings he plays. Oh.

Should we keep the BWT format?

Tim Carlisle: Big issue with BWT is regional strength - half of last years Div. 1 are in South Group as are the champions for the last 4 years. On the plus side Derbyshire have been one of the weakest performing sides over the last 3 years and look at them now. I'd like to see seeded groups.
