Chris Jordan is into the attack for his first bowl of the day.

He took nine wickets in nine games in the IPL so is in decent form.

  4. SA 63-1published at 7 overs

Good start from Adil Rashid with just six singles coming from his first over.

Eoin Morgan will want him to pull some control back for England.

How many will they be happy chasing? They've got a seriously powerful batting line-up today. 170? 180? 200?

It's been an excellent powerplay for South Africa. Their two standout and most experienced batsmen have stood up and led the way.

As soon as the powerplay is over Eoin Morgan turns to Adil Rashid.

    Today is Rashid's 50th T20 international appearance.

Brilliant strokes from De Kock. I don’t like many batters - but he’s one I do!

Du Plessis and De Kock are showing the value of having played recently in the IPL. I always love the Archer-De Kock contest.

  9. SA 57-1published at 6 overs

That's a good comeback from Sam Curran as he concedes just three off the final five balls of the over.

Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis have brought up the fifty partnership, though, off only 29 balls, and that contributes to a good powerplay for South Africa.

I'd like to see a match at Stanley Park, Blackpool. Preferably between Lancashire and my favourite team Northamptonshire. I've been to Blackpool on holiday every year since 2006. It looks like a good venue for a match and would make our holiday extra special.

  11. SA 54-1published at 5.1 overs

Sam Curran is back into the attack and gets similar treatment to his brother as Quinton de Kock slaps him back down the ground.

That floored Faf du Plessis at the non-striker's end.

I saw Jofra Archer in the press leading up to this series, saying they want to hold the 50-over and T20 World Cup. It's definitely their aim. They have got an excellent side - and it's just a case of who can show up on the day.

It is a funny little tour, this - three T20s and three ODIs - and it has popped up from nowhere, just to get some cricket played. They are playing in conditions here that are utterly different to those at the T20 World Cup next year.

  14. SA 50-1published at 5 overs

Four more to end the over. That's 24 off it and that is Tom Curran's most expensive over in international T20 cricket.

That has unravelled some of England's good early work.

Du Plessis is taking it to Tom Curran here. Six-four-six to start the over. Plenty of pressure on Curran. It's a great partnership for South Africa in the powerplay.

    SA 42-1published at 4.3 overs

Tom Curran is under pressure here.

His two full deliveries get dispatched so he goes a bit shorter but Faf du Plessis reads it and pulls it for six more.

This is like watching Faf back at Lancashire in the day.

  17. SA 36-1published at 4.2 overs

Offt. That's less runs for Faf du Plessis but an absolutely glorious shot as he plants Tom Curran back over his head for four.

    New ball, please.

It's too full and in the slot from Tom Curran and Faf du Plessis just whips it over long on.

The problem is there's some building work going on at the Newlands and that's landed over the fence into a huge pile of mud.

The great contest is Quinton de Kock and Jofra Archer. At the moment it is De Kock 1, Archer 0. He's wininng the battle at the moment but Jofra could still have the last laugh.
