  1. SA 26-1published at 4 overs

Quinton de Kock on form is a delight to watch. After that earlier six he times the absolute pants off a flick through mid-wicket.

That was a glorious shot and it absolutely races to the fence.

We've got - according to Shaun Pollock - Egyptian geese on the outfield. Only in cricket.

    Shot!

Quinton de Kock picks up length so well. It's too straight from Jofra Archer and the South Africa skipper just flicks it, almost effortlessly, about 15 rows back over square leg.

No rustiness from England. Sam Curran and Archer on the ball straight away. It will be interesting to see how Archer's employed. In the IPL, he often bowled two in the powerplay and two at the death, but with Jordan and Tom Curran in the side, Morgan can use Archer more in the powerplay if he wishes.

  5. SA 12-1published at 3 overs

This pitch looks pretty slow. I don't think Eoin Morgan will be too unhappy about that, though. He spoke during the summer about a desire to play on slower pitches ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup in India next year.

This has been a very tidy start from England - they haven't given South Africa a single ball to throw their hands at yet.

Really want to pay Arundel a visit. Beautiful little ground and Sussex always grace it at least once a year.

  8. SA 9-1published at 2 overs

Tidy start for Jofra Archer with just three coming off his first over.

It will be interesting to see how Eoin Morgan mixes up his bowling attack today.

Jofra Archer will share the new ball with Sam Curran and he's immediately causing issues.

He gets one to go across Quinton de Kock on the angle, and draws the outside edge, but it goes through the vacant second slip region for a single.

Faf du Plessis is the new batsman by the way.

It's surely too early for Bavuma to be playing the ramp to Sam Curran. That's a very soft dismissal. I wonder if that illustrates South Africa’s general rustiness.

    Soft, soft, soft.

Temba Bavuma averaged 49.5 in Twenty20 internationals going into this game, but with shots like that you'd never guess it.

He tries to get the scoop out and just tamely clips it into the hands of Jos Buttler behind the stumps.

    Good start for England.

Ohh! South Africa, and Temba Bavuma, get off the mark with a streaky outside edge for four.

It fell short of Ben Stokes at first slip, but the England all-rounder will be disappointed he didn't stop that.

There's a tiny bit of movement straight away for Sam Curran.

Right, the players are out in the middle and Sam Curran is going to open the bowling for England.

    Let's play.

It's a day-night game today, and in the third game on Tuesday.

It's been a gorgeous day in Cape Town and there's absolutely zero chance of rain apparently.

Today's game is in Cape Town at the Newlands ground. This has always been one of my favourite cricket grounds because of the picturesque view you get of Table Top mountain from the grass verge on one side of the ground.

It got me thinking - which cricket ground do you most want to visit?

It doesn't necessarily have to be overseas, you might want to experience the atmosphere of Edgbaston, or it could be a quaint little village side somewhere in the UK.

Let us know which ground and why you want to visit it using #bbccricket or by texting 81111 (UK only) and we'll share the best, alongside, hopefully, an image of the ground.

  20. What can we expect from South Africa?published at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2020

The short answer is nobody knows.

Mark Boucher's side have lost two and drawn one of their past three Twenty20 series, with their last win coming in March 2019.

This is also their first international cricket since their one-day series against India was cut short in March because of the coronavirus pandemic.

To make matters worse, their preparations for this series - which will be played without fans and in a bio-secure bubble - have been disrupted by two positive Covid-19 tests, meaning their intra-squad games were cancelled.

Those two players are isolating, and the rest of the 23-man squad have tested negative in the past 48 hours.

Quinton de Kock and Kagiso Rabada played in the Indian Premier League that finished earlier this month so do have recent match practice.
