Richard Walker: Why the same team again, especially since we have won the series? It is unlikely that we will be able to play the same 11 throughout the World Cup so why not give Moeen or Wood a run-out?

  2. SA 4-0published at 1.1 overs

Jofra Archer is going to share the new ball with Sam Curran and he starts well as he gets one to seam and bounce past the outside edge of Temba Bavuma's dangling bat.

    Archer has two slips in.

  3. SA 4-0published at 1 overs

A tidy first over from Sam Curran with just four singles conceded.

There a little bit of bounce there for the left-armer, but based on the first six balls the pitch hasn't changed much from Friday night.

  4. SA 2-0published at 0.2 overs

As does Temba Bavuma with a push and run into the covers.

  5. SA 1-0published at 0.1 overs

Quinton de Kock gets off the mark, straight away, with a single through square leg.

The players are out in the middle, Quinton de Kock is scratching his mark.

Sam Curran is going to bowl first up for England.

  7. Broad nominated for Sports Personality of the Yearpublished at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

Away from South Africa, England Test bowler Stuart Broad has been nominated for this year's Sports Personality of the Year award.

The 34-year-old became just the eighth bowler to reach 500 Test wickets earlier this year - and he took to Instagram to share his pride at being nominated.

You can find out the rest of the contenders as they are being announced over here.

A reminder that after this three-match Twenty20 series England are also playing three one-day internationals against South Africa.

The first game is on Friday and here's the full schedule:

    4 December - 1st ODI, Cape Town (d/n) (11:00 GMT)

    6 December - 2nd ODI, Paarl (08:00 GMT)

    9 December - 3rd ODI, Cape Town (d/n) (11:00 GMT)

England are resting Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer for that series, but do welcome back Joe Root and Chris Woakes. You can see the full squad here.

England can go top - and overtake old enemy Australia - of the ICC Twenty20 world rankings with a win today.

A win would also mean they win 3-0 for only the second time away from home in the format - West Indies are the only other side they've beat by that scoreline.

It would also be the first time South Africa have lost a home series 3-0.

England are unchanged for the third straight game then.

Happy with that? Or should Moeen Ali or Mark Wood be in the side?

  11. How's the weather?published at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

It's four or five degrees cooler than the first match on Friday, but once again it's all clear and we should get 40 overs in without any interruptions.

On a side note, it's meant to be 18 degrees at 8am tomorrow morning - bit of a difference to here where I woke up thinking my toes were going to fall off this morning. You can't half tell that December is here.

One person who will want to have a good day out today is England opener Jason Roy.

Since the start of the English summer here are his scores:

    T20s: 0, 14

    ODIs: 24, 0, 1, 3, 21, 0

It's been a frustrating six-month period with a horrible spell of form, and injuries ruling him out of the six Twenty20 games against Pakistan and Australia this summer.

Before the series Eoin Morgan spoke about defining people's roles in this series - Roy's role is clear, he's the opener. But with Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes also capable of opening in the side, and with the likes of Tom Banton and Liam Livingstone on the sidelines in reserve, Roy has to start finding some form.

I guess England are saving Mark Wood for the ODIs seen as there's no Jofra Archer or Chris Jordan in that squad.

Definitely a surprise that the other squad members didn’t get a game today. It’s a tough balance keeping squad morale high, but this must be very disheartening for those who did the quarantine, trained hard and can’t get a game in a dead rubber.

England captain Eoin Morgan on Sky Sports: "We would have liked to have batted first. The wicket looks slow and will take a bit of turn. We feel like the guys have got up to speed really quickly. In the first game, with hindsight we would have bowled a bit differently. We've had to scrap and I imagine today will be the same.

"There was a thought of bringing in a spinner, given conditions. Other than that, we want to field our best XI. It's important that guys have complete transparency in the roles that they play."

  17. Postpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

Eoin Morgan says England would have batted first today given the chance.

It's the same wicket that we played on in Friday's first game.

  18. Postpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

England will be chasing for the third game in a row then - can they make it three wins on the bounce and complete the series whitewash?

  19. South Africa win the toss and batpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

    England are unchanged.

South Africa make two changes - there's no Kagiso Rabada.

    Full teams to follow.

  20. Postpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

Will England stick to the same team? Or will Mark Wood get a go?

If they win the toss will they chase for the third successive game or will Eoin Morgan be keen to find out how they defend a total?

Let's head out to the middle and hopefully answer all of those questions.
