  2. SA 70-3published at 11 overs

Just three singles from Adil Rashid's third over.

He's only gone for 14 off his three overs now. South Africa just haven't found a way to score against the leggie.

Thus far it is identical to the second game: South Africa batting first were 65-3 on Sunday, and they were 64-3 today. And there's a longer tail today.

We've just had it through that Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of the one-day series that follows with a right adductor strain.

England are strong favourites for that series, even without Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes, I would imagine.

    Almost inevitable, TK.

It's all part of the fun.

I still reckon England will find a way of making us sweat a bit despite limiting SA to around 140-45.

  7. SA 66-3published at 10 overs

Rassie van der Dussen has joined former captain Faf du Plessis in the middle - this is a key partnership for South Africa.

Ben Stokes has figures of 2-12 from his first two overs.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.3 overs

    Hendricks c Buttler b Stokes 13 (SA 64-3)

All a fuss about nothing - it's comfortably caught by Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes has two.

It's loose from Reeza Hendricks as he dangles his bat at a wide one and the edge is caught well by the diving Jos Buttler.

  9. Umpire reviewpublished at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

Ben Stokes and England have got Reeza Hendricks caught behind here.

The umpires are just double checking it was caught cleanly because it did dip a bit on Jos Buttler.

Slower balls definitely seem to be the way to go on this wicket, the same one that the first T20 was played on. There's definite purchase and some turn for Rashid.

Rachel T: Thank goodness for SAvENG beaming beautiful scenery and hot sun into our freezing, dark December. I love cricket, it means eternal summer.

  12. SA 63-2published at 9 overs

    Hendricks 13, Du Plessis 1

Superb over from Adil Rashid with just two singles coming off it.

He's bowled seven dot balls already - unreal.

Interestingly, we're only into the ninth over and already six bowlers have been used. All that fiddling around has at least brought some results.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8 overs

    Bavuma c Jordan b Stokes 32 (SA 61-2)

Caught at mid-off again - is the ball getting stuck in the pitch?

As he often does Ben Stokes had gone for a few but he finds the wicket. It's again plinked straight to mid-off, for a routine catch, so this pitch may get more and more difficult to bat on as the game progresses.

Ben Stokes is into the attack now as Eoin Morgan continues to rotate his bowlers.

I had to Google a Gatsby - it looks like a sandwich with chips, meat, cheese, those sorts of things.

In the words of Joey from Friends, - chips good, meat good, cheese good. It'll do for me.

The BBC.com travel section has an article on a Gatsby - a Cape Town speciality. Never had one but looks great. Anyone had one and is it as good as it looks?

    SA 52-1published at 7 overs

Temba Bavuma brings up the fifty in style.

It had been a perfect over from Adil Rashid, with just two singles from the first five deliveries, but the England leggie flights the last ball up and Bavuma just plonks him into the building site again.

I hope we've got a fair few spare balls today.
