Everything looked right about that lbw.
Perera lbw b S Curran 0 (SL 4-1)
The Sri Lanka captain looked like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders at the toss and his day has got off to the worst possible start. A skiddy delivery which straightened from Sam Curran.
Another review! Kusal Perera is hit on the pads by Sam Curran. It's given out but the Sri Lanka captain has reviewed. This looks close.

I like the look of Nissanka. He didn't set the world alight in the first ODI at Durham but he looks organised and compact, and the cover drive off David Willey was exquisite.

That was a vehement appeal from David Willey. He was absolutely convinced!
Pathum Nissanka hit on the pads by David Willey and it's given out, but the Sri Lanka opener has immediately reviewed it. However, he clearly got some bat on that and the decision is overturned.
A straw-coloured pitch at The Oval. Looks a belter. Pathum Nissanka gets himself off the mark with a glorious drive through the covers.
Third time lucky for England?! The players are on the field at The Oval. Eoin Morgan has set his field and David Willey will open the bowling.

I think Sri Lanka's line-up is much more balanced - and back home, people are looking for the positives. Sri Lanka have never lost an ODI played on 1 July and they've beaten England twice on this day in the past!
Chris Woakes bowled exceptionally well at Durham the other day, Carl, but England are keen to manage his workload which explains his absence. Fast bowlers have to be handled in a similar way to thoroughbred racehorses.

Carl Collen: This constant dropping/resting of Woakes, our best ODI seamer for some years now, when he has barely played in the last 12 months, is unusual at best and ridiculous at worst.

This has the buzz we've not had at an international game for some time.
Great to hear it, Matt. Let's hope it bodes well with a packed summer of cricket ahead.

With this game a government test event, capacity is up at 50% - around 14,000 people. Tuesday in Durham felt chilled. This feels much busier. There are long queues to get into the ground and the bars are bustling.
Sri Lanka, who already have a depleted squad after three players were sent home following a bio-secure bubble breach before the first ODI in Durham, have made three changes to their XI. Avishka Fernando, Dhananjaya de Silva and Asitha Fernando come in with Praveen Jayawickrama, Lakshan Sandakan and Ramesh Mendis the players to make way.
England with a couple of changes to their team as Jason Roy and Tom Curran come in, on their home ground, for Liam Livingstone and Chris Woakes.

I heard one or two groans when Eoin Morgan said England would bowl first. I think the fans wanted to see as much of England's batters as they could and the best chance of that, going off what we've seen previously in this series, would have been for them to bat first and pile them up.
Sri Lanka captain Kusal Perera: "We were also planning to bowl. We are concerned about our batting so hopefully everyone takes responsibility to get runs on the board."
