How's this for a bit of premeditation?
Four wickets for Tom Curran, two each for Woakes & Willey
England win series 2-0
Callum Matthews and Ffion Wynne
How's this for a bit of premeditation?
I'm going to be honest.
I saw absolutely none of that over. The weather cut out my TV signal and it took me a moment to get my laptop sorted.
Sri Lanka added four runs. That will have to do you.
Here's Jason Roy shooing a pigeon away...

Hasaranga has been Sri Lanka's shining light, as well as Dushmantha Chameera.
That is a shot!
Sam Curran drops short and Wanindu Hasaranga crunches him to the mid-wicket fence. He's up to 15.

Someone in the flats that overlook one side of the ground sound as though they’ve brought cow bells onto their balcony to make some noise after the fall of a wicket. Either that or they’ve emptied the kitchen cupboards of cutlery and are using that.
Three from the over again.
These two are Sri Lanka's last recognised batters. While Chamika Karunaratne and Binura Fernando have scored some runs in the series, it has tended to be slog, slog, slog, out, rather than building and batting time.
Jonny Bairstow has just had to chase a pigeon away.
Only cricket.

There are some very dark clouds around Bristol but we’re in a little area of dry, sunny weather at the ground.
Three singles from Sam Curran's third over.

That'll be a very welcome wicket for Tom Curran. In his past 11 matches for England he's taken 3-490.

I genuinely think Sri Lanka have a very good bowling unit and there is plenty to work with there. But their batting is really letting them down and it's the same thing every time, they're just always 40-4.
When Sri Lanka get home, they've got a series against India from the 13 July. It isn't going to get any easier for them.
The two current batters, Wanindu Hasaranga and Dasun Shanaka, have been two of their better players in this tour, so they need to stay calm and rebuild here.
There are some VERY dark clouds in the vicinity of Bristol.
The players are taking drinks at the fall of that wicket.
Here are the first four wickets to fall.

He's just lollipopped it straight to mid off!

That's a very tame dismissal.
Oshada c Woakes b T Curran 18 (SL 63-5)
Woeful. Just woeful.
Oshada Fernando is on the charge again, but he just lofts it to Chris Woakes at mid-off.
I'm all for being proactive, but when your side is 63-4 and there's 36 overs left, bide your time.

He gave Curran the charge, Curran responded by digging it in and he flailed it over the fine leg boundary! There are short straight boundaries here at Bristol but that was a fantastic bit of cricket.
Oshada Fernando keeps the strike with a single out to deep cover.
