  1. Pak 118-6published at 27 overs

    Target 248

Oh! Saud Shakeel and Richard Illingworth are having words. The Pakistan man wants a wide, but the umpire refuses to give it. I think that's fair enough. It missed the leg stump by a inch or so. That's not a wide.

Almost another wicket! Ben Duckett is a few yards in from the square leg boundary, and Faheem Ashraf needs flicks it straight to him. It drops about five yards short.

In case you've missed them, here are the first five wickets to fall.

Pakistan have not had a partnership that has lasted longer than six overs yet.

  4. Pak 116-6published at 26 overs

    Target 248

Bang on the money again from Matt Parkinson, with just one coming off the over.

He beats the driving Faheem Ashraf with the final ball too.

The required run rate is sneaking up all the time. It stands at 6.29 now.

Left hander Faheem Ashraf is the new batter.

    "120-7 here", shouts John Simpson.

His heart would've been pounding because it was up there and swirling around for a while. It was swirling for a long time. The Pakistan fans down there would have been making some noise too, so he held it well.

Matt Parkinson didn't really have to move a muscle, it went straight to him in the deep.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 25 overs

    Shadab c Parkinson b Gregory 21 (Pak 115-6)

    Soft!

Shadab Khan tries to uppercut Lewis Gregory, but he doesn't get hold of it properly, and it goes straight to Matt Parkinson at third.

Parkinson dropped a catch in the first game at Cardiff, and this one threatens to pop out, but he holds on, and has a laugh with his team mates.

    England are in control.

Lewis Gregory, who struck with his first ball earlier, is back into the attack.

    Thanks Kal.

England have been very good with the ball. One more wicket and they'll fancy themselves to wrap up this series today.

The required run rate started at 5.25, but it's crept up to 6.08.

  11. Pak 108-5published at 24 overs

John Simpson is very vocal behind the stumps and he's not really put a foot wrong with the gloves in the two matches.

Matt Parkinson offers plenty of flight and races through his over, conceding just two.

England are in the driving seat and taking you through the rest of the match will be Callum Matthews.

I just think it has been a lack of discipline from Pakistan if I'm honest. England have bowled well, and been relentless, you know they are going to come at you, and conditions have been favourable. But, some of the shots have shown the loose nature.

  13. Pak 106-5published at 23 overs

Pakistan need 142 runs from 24 overs

Back comes Lewis Gregory for his fifth over of the innings.

How do Pakistan go about this? They really can't afford to lose any more wickets.

Shakeel and Shadab help themselves to five easy singles but the run-rate is creeping up.

I'd quite like to see a slip for Matt Parkinson. I'm surprised that Ben Stokes hasn't got one.

  15. Pak 101-5published at 22 overs

Lancashire's Bolton-born leg-spinner Matthew Parkinson is introduced to the attack.

Shadab makes some space, showing all three stumps, and slaps to mid-off for a single. Risky tactic.

Polite applause at Lord's as another single brings up Pakistan's 100.

In all five ODIs this summer, England have taken three or more wickets in the opening 10-over powerplay.

They took three in the first game against Sri Lanka, then four in the last two and four in the first of this series, before three today.

Since the 2015 World Cup, in the previous 107 games, they'd done so 15 times, so once every seven games or so.

They've now done it five times a row, so if you worked that out as a chance based on the previous run it would be about one in 17,000.

  17. Pak 97-5published at 21 overs

Shadab Khan rocks back and plays a beautiful back-foot drive through four.

Brydon Carse goes short, Shadab top-edges a pull and the ball falls just short of Matt Parkinson at fine-leg.

A full delivery on leg stump is then given the treatment it deserves as Shadab clips into the leg side for the second boundary of the over.

England have just carried on from where they let off in Cardiff.

They have been relentless, I think that is a really good work. They have been ruthless every time they've worked out. There has been no freebies and every bowler has been right on it.

  19. Pak 87-5published at 20 overs

It's been another poor showing from the Pakistan batsmen as in comes Shadab Khan to try and rescue his team.

One run and one wicket from Overton's over.

Will we even see Ben Stokes bowl today?
