    "Catchhhh." Close!

Cheteshwar Pujara is forward in defence, but a leading edge - it may have also flicked off the pad - loops towards Dom Sibley at leg gully. The ball is just out of his grasp.

"Good bowling, Robbo," shout the slip cordon.

Big decision. A big moment. It didn't look a bad shout. It was a brilliant decision by the umpires on the field.

With these two batting together it's India blowing hot and cold. Cheteshwar Pujara is happy to just hang in there and defend while Virat Kohli will look to play his shots.

    Ind 53-2, lead by 26

    Yeah, too high.

It pitches in line and straightens but it hits Virat Kohli on the flap and the ball was going an inch or so over the stumps.

    Don't take on Michael Gough.

  5. England reviewpublished at 22 overs

Huge, and I mean HUGE, appeal against Virat Kohli.

Joe Root eventually decides to send it upstairs.

    Too high?

The lower Edrich is like the India part of the ground. They chanted Pujara's name when he finally got off the mark, then lost their minds when Kohli edged for four. Cracking atmosphere.

You get the sense that Virat Kohli is having to fight with himself a bit here.

He picks up another boundary with a squirt down to third, before Ollie Robinson again beats him on the outside. Kohli isn't fully at ease with the slope, I don't think.

He moves to 20 with a flick through square that had England shouting "catch it". It would have been an absolute blinder from Haseeb Hameed at short leg.

    Andy Zaltzman
    Test Match Special statistician

Batting in the third innings is a bit of a curiosity in Virat Kohli's career. He averages 51 in the first innings, 68 in the second, 50 in the fourth but only 35 in the third. He has scored three centuries in the third innings but two of those have been in situations were India have been in a dominant position in the game.

We put so much pressure on these star quality players and they do often deliver when there is a big moment, but they are human. Virat Kohli is not playing as well as he possibly can. His technique is not quite at its pinnacle. Joe Root has a real calmness because his technique is looking after him.

Virat Kohli keeps the strike with his own single through mid-wicket.

There was screams of excitement from England there. He played it fairly late. If he'd missed it he was a goner.

The sun is starting to bathe Lord's.

Cheteshwar Pujara is finally off the mark with a flick through mid-wicket.

It has taken him 35 balls. He is striking at 2.9.

Pujara has been on nought for a lifetime. At the start of the Curran over, Anderson made sure he got point fielder Haseeb Hameed to be alert to the single. Three balls later, Hameed is making a diving stop.

    Brilliant from Haseeb Hameed.

Cheteshwar Pujara thinks he has got his single through point, but Hameed made up the ground brilliantly to keep him on nought.

A maiden to start from Ollie Robinson.

There are definite signs of the ball keeping low from the Pavillion End. It is not going to be easy for England to chase on this pitch.
