It's a second successive 50 for Virat Kohli. He will be desperate to convert it to three figures today.

Kohli 50, Rahane 5
James Anderson falls over in his follow through, a bit like Mark Wood often does, but he's OK. Panic over.

Virat Kohli hasn't really got a score in this series yet. You can feel his frustration. His best score is the 55 he made at Headingley - that's a poor return from him. He will be keen to get a decent score.
A quick single, completed with a big dive to make his ground, brings up Virat Kohli's half century.
He was dropped on 22, remember...
My boyfriend is a Londoner and moved to Wales last year. He still gets very excited that in the pub in the small village where my parents live, he can get three pints for the price of one in London. So excited that he orders them in threes just to make it that much more satisfactory.
In the cricket, Virat Kohli helps himself to another four down to third man. James Anderson is not impressed.

It's £6.80 a pint at The Oval. £6.80! Where I come from I'd want two beers for that. And change.

My wife thought that our son Christopher was named after the character from Winnie the Pooh. She wasn't pleased when she found out it was actually inspired by Huddersfield Town legend (and my man crush) Christopher Schindler.

Ollie Robinson hasn't been anywhere near his best. But he has only gone for 12 runs in his overs. It's a good sign when someone has an off day but isn't being dispatched to the boundary too often.
Kohli 45, Rahane 5
How has that missed?! Late swing from Robinson and Rahane leaves - it somehow just bounces over the stumps. Jonny Bairstow takes it and gives a proper double teapot of disbelief.
Next ball, Rahane - who'd been on one for what seemed like an eternity - drives nicely through the covers for a couple, and then brings up India's 100 with another two down to fine leg.
The players take break for drinks.
Here's one of those drives that Kohli has played so well in his knock of 45 so far.
Kohli 45, Rahane 1
Another overpitched delivery, another Virat Kohli drive for four. You can see England's plans - bowl full, make the most of the swing - but Kohli is just patiently waiting for the one that's too full.

Named our son after some bloke who managed to score a few: Sachin.

This is the poshest wine bar I've ever seen at a cricket ground.
Kohli 41, Rahane 1
Another beauty from Kohli as he whacks Robinson through the covers for another boundary. Too full and too wide from the bowler and Kohli says thank you very much.

My son's middle name is Alan. Half of my family think that's after his great-grandad. The other half are well aware that it's really after Shearer.

Rob Stow: Not wise to drop Kohli in the 20s. On his current form he could well punish England by going on to make 30+.
Kohli 36, Rahane 1
Kohli's form here is looking ominous for England. Even his defensive shots go to the boundary, as he plays one off the back foot to Anderson that races away for four.
Rahane just needs to stay there with him.

Virat Kohli is looking threatening. He is batting outside of his crease, and he is walking towards Craig Overton to get outside that fifth stump line.
Jonny Bairstow is not having the easiest day with the gloves - the ball is swinging late and wobbling all over the place.
Kohli, meanwhile, is still negotiating it quite nicely.

Whilst waiting for my second child to be born in 2011 I was secretly listening to the second Test against India on TMS in the delivery suite and Stuart Broad took a hat-trick. I was all on for the newborn to be named Stuart until out popped a girl - thankfully named Evellyn, and not Stuartina I'm afraid!
