Robin Johnson: Here we go again. Why can’t we catch in the slips??
Sean Bulpitt: Another chance gone in that slip cordon. Village at best from England in there.

Burns looked as if he had seen a ghost after that miss. He has just not picked it up. Anderson is unimpressed.

He has almost got out of the way of that, Rory Burns. He turned away. He is saying he didn't see it, so maybe lost it in an advertising hoarding or something. James Anderson looks a bit miffed, though.
A chance goes missing! I'm calling this a drop despite Rory Burns not getting a hand on the ball at second slip.
He just hasn't seen the ball and in the end turns away to protect himself as it clatters into his foot.
Joe Root is still wearing those dreadful shades...

Sorry, Ollie. I shouldn't have said anything. The final ball of the over is driven for four.

It's a lovely session to have as a bowling unit. You can give it everything for an hour or so. England will hope they can nick out or two and try to get a nightwatchman in.
This has been a good start from Ollie Robinson. There's a tentative appeal for caught behind but nothing doing.
Four to Rohit but it's an edge from the elegant India opener.
It must have been tempting to toss Woakes the ball but it's going to be Ollie Robinson to bowl the second over.

The England fans zip through their repertoire as the cries of Jerusalem turn into chants of "oh Jimmy, Jimmy".
I think Chris Woakes must have been in the shower because he's just running down the steps from the dressing room at the end of this first over.

Jonny Bairstow collected that first ball at nearly ankle height. These variations with bounce are only going to continue.

Rohit has played at this one - Joe Root hopping in the slips in anticipation of an edge.
It's a good time to be bowling.
Rohit leaves the first ball from Anderson to the sound of pantomime "oooos" from the crowd.

Mart: India get 300 and that could be enough, England will need new ball wickets, but it's all to play for.
Jon Butterworth: Torn now. An India collapse would be good, but I have a ticket for Sunday. Good job I don't get to choose, really.
There is about an hour and 10 minutes of play left in the day. Can England nip a few wickets out before the close?
Jimmy Anderson is marking out his run already.

India have the heavy roller on as well. Seven minutes could settle the pitch down further. India have the names, the numbers and the experience but they have been lacking in confidence. If they can play to their potential this could be a very interesting Test match. If they leave England with a chase of 200 or 210 then it would be very awkward.

Arjun Singh: I’ve really, really missed Chris Woakes. One of the best all-rounders in the world
Darren, Coventry: In England alone - Chris Woakes' batting average is second best in this current team and he currently has the best bowling average. Massively under-appreciated in our conditions .
Don't forget Ollie Pope. His 81 guided England to this total from 62-5.
