That was good work from Pant who got the ball down the pitch for quickly for Bumrah to throw the wickets down from close range.

James Anderson is really playing for Chris Woakes here in the way that Ollie Robinson didn't earlier.

Another brilliant knock from Chris Woakes. These are valuable runs for England. He can play orthodox and play his shots as well. Such an important cog in the wheel for England.
Woakes 46, Anderson 1
This is getting a bit ragged from India. The Oval crowd cheers again as Anderson gets off strike from the very first ball of this Umesh over. That's not what India wanted in their quest to end a partnership that is now worth 32.

I think Chris Woakes might just be my favourite cricketer ever. Seems genuinely selfless and positive whenever he gets a chance in any format and rarely lets the team down. Like an elite Clubman of the Year.
Simon, Watford

Crucial, crucial runs.

This stoppage gives me time to show you the wicket of Ollie Robinson which does not get any better on second viewing...
It's all going on.
Jasprit Bumrah returns and his very first ball is a horror full toss. As the ball runs away to the boundary, Bumrah is hobbling, clutching his calf. Is it just cramp? He'll hope so.
On comes the physio.

Woakes is definitely fine! Wide from Umesh and the Brummie Botham slaps the ball to the fence through the covers. He gets a single off the final ball too.

That is going to be sore. Chris Woakes is hopping about in a little bit of pain. He is flexing it, and rubbing it.
Chris Woakes fans won't like to see this. He has cracked the ball into his own knee and is down in a heap.
I think he'll be OK.
