  1. 'Leg over' - 30 years on...published at 13:13 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

TMS are currently looking back at one of the most famous incidents in its illustrious history - the 'leg over' gaffe.

It is 30 years, give or take a few days, since Aggers and the late great Brian Johnston had themselves and millions of listeners in hysterics when, trying to describe how Ian Botham got out by brushing the stumps with the inside of his leg trying to avoid a bouncer, Aggers said that Botham "...couldn't quite get his leg over".

Cue Johnners and Aggers trying to carry on until dissolving into a fit of stifled giggles...

A decent Test comeback for the Warwickshire all rounder...

Well done to Chris Woakes today, he has looked much sharper today. He has given England some momentum.

However, massive credit has to go to Shardul Thakur and Rishabh Pant, for both being able to go against their nature and play calmly and sensible. They have kept India in the game. The way they've gone about it suggests they want to build something that would take England out of the game.

Dave: I'm trying to live a positive, upbeat life, lose all negativity. ABBA are back, the sun is shining, Mo got Kohli. I am struggling though to see how England get more than 200 in the second innings...

    Thanks Matthew, and afternoon everyone!

I have loved the ABBA chat this morning, my late Mum had ABBA The Album, Super Trouper, Greatest Hits Volume II and The Singles on vinyl, which all sadly seem to have been lost now. And The Visitors is a work of melancholy genius, but I digress...

What a morning that was, I certainly didn't expect such a fightback from England.

You've got about 35 minutes to refresh before play resumes. Guess what? The next hour after lunch will be crucial...

I'm off to think of some more ABBA puns. Here's Tim Oscroft.

England have had a reasonable morning. The tension has really ramped up.

England will be pretty happy with their work, but India will know they are in a reasonable position.

    That is lunch.

England have kept themselves in it with a good session.

That is as good as any shot you'll see. If Thakur gets set after lunch he could be really dangerous.

This is a magnificent stroke. A tremendous strike.

72mph from Craig Overton - I hope that was a slower ball - and Shardul Thakur drills it for four. England could still be chasing 300 yet.

Does anyone really believe England can chase 200 batting last?

That was more the Thakur we saw in the first innings. It was in the air, but wide of the man at mid-off.

Shot. Really good from Shardul Thakur. You can't argue with this. A lady in the crowd, I assume an India fan not just a lover of cover drives from lower-order batters, is on her feet applauding. She looks tense, as am I.

  16. Leg-over, 30 years onpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

During lunch, the TMS team are going to recall the infamous leg-over commentary of 1991, 30 years later.

Here it is, in all its glory.

India are still a little bit ahead for me, but it is not impossible for England. They have had a very good morning, limited run scoring and taken wickets.
