  1. Ind 298-5published at 105 overs

I don't want to do Craig Overton a disservice but that over just felt like something we had to get through before returning the ball back to Woakes.

Pant will be on strike next.

Ben, in Newcastle, mildly ashamed how little of those lyrics he had to google

Impressive Does Your Mother Know knowledge there, Ben. Topical too with Woakes charging in.

Chris Woakes has given England hope. This is how he saw off Jadeja...

Pant is off the mark at the first attempt with a slightly edgy couple. Craig Overton is coming on.

That looked like a clever, subtle change from Woakes. Slightly wider on the crease, sucking Rahane into aiming too square on the leg side.

Rahane looks like a player that has 'gone'. It is full and straight - that is a mind that is not quite with it.

    Rahane lbw b Woakes 0 (Ind 296-5)

That one is out! Chris Woakes, you absolute superstar. Things were flat and he's come on and taken two wickets in two overs.

Ajinkya Rahane was almost out lbw in the previous over but survived on review. This one is absolutely stone dead.

    Kohli 40, Rahane 0

There's a spring in the fielders' step now. They looked reenergised. Jonny Bairstow is laughing about something.

Kohli's wicket looks even bigger now, if that were possible...

More movement again, it nipped back and the height just saves him. It is a sign that Rahane is no kind of form.

There was just an inch or two in that. It could have been two wickets in four balls for Woakes.

Still, things were happening in that over for the Brummie Botham.

    Rahane survives.

    Has Woakes got another!?

Rahane plays no shot to his third ball and is hit on the pad.

Big moment. It was given out so only needs to be clipping.

It's a good ball, nipped back. I have seen more in bounce and movement this morning than yesterday. It's a great test match wicket, did a bit on day one, then flattened out and now I think spin will come into it.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 101.3 overs

    Jadeja lbw b Woakes 17 (Ind 296-4)

Got him! It's three reds meaning the review cannot save Ravindra Jadeja. It was a good ball from Woakes which nipped back a little, hit pad just before bat and would have hit the top of off.

    England needed that.
