I think England will need to bowl Sri Lanka out for around 135 again to be able to win the Test.

I would be wanting to be bowling at England tonight if I was Sri Lanka. But they have to just bat until tea and see where it takes them.

Jenifer Moore: Oh well. 37 is nothing. Let's go bowlers!

  3. Postpublished at 04:41 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2021

The onus is on Sri Lanka, really, to push for a win - they're 1-0 down in the series and they'd back their spinners more than England would to win a match, I'd wager.

This next innings will decide the way the game will go.

Lasith Embuldeniya leads the team off, figures of 42-6-137-7 to his name.

Time for England's spinners to step up, I think.

Hitting middle stump, and England's innings is over.

Sri Lanka start their second innings with a 37-run lead.

Leach didn't get down low enough.

The ball has gone under the bat, stuck Jack Leach on the back leg, and it doesn't look great for Leach.

I think this is rather out...

Jack Leach tries a sweep, misses, and is given out lbw.

    He reviews it.

  11. Eng 344-9published at 116 overs

Jack Leach and England are off the mark on the fourth day with a gentle clip to square leg.

Told you! Jimmy Anderson celebrates by reverse sweeping into the vacant area on the boundary for four. Lovely.

Unsurprisingly, it'll be Lasith Embuldeniya, who has figures of 7-132, to share opening duties this morning.

For England to win this Test match it would take an incredible performance. They can't have a bad hour.

  14. Eng 339-9published at 115 overs

For my money, Jimmy Anderson is one of the best reverse sweepers in this England side.

He gets a delivery that spins past his outside edge to end the over.

  15. Eng 339-9published at 114.3 overs

The most solid of forward defensives from James Anderson first up, and we're off.

Dilruwan Perera will pick up where he left off last night, with four balls left in the over.

Jack Leach is coming out to the middle, accompanied by Jimmy Anderson, after Joe Root was run out off the final ball of yesterday's session.

You feel 10 or 15 runs here from Jack Leach and James Anderson will be like 50 runs at a different ground, like The Oval, such is the pitch.

I am still thinking about this from yesterday, which almost gave me nightmares.
