Morning! My body clock is now so attuned to these starts that getting up wasn't difficult this morning. I don't know how to feel about that.
Anyway, England will be resuming on 339-9 very shortly, still trailing Sri Lanka by 42 runs, almost exclusively thanks to an exquisite 186 by Joe Root.
As it turns out, Joe Root is very, very good at cricket.
