Luke Almond: Dom Bess patting back a thigh high full toss. My style of batting.

Ishant takes two wickets in two balls in final hour of day
Root hits 218 - his fifth double-century - before being trapped lbw
Stokes - dropped twice in his 30s - hits aggressive 82

A maiden from Washington Sundar - he's bowled with a lot more control today.
There a minimum of 10 overs left in the day. We'll go till at least 11:00 GMT regardless.

I don't think there's an inclination on England's part to declare tonight. I remember when England scored 550 in Adelaide and declared back in 2006 - I was screaming at my TV for them not to declare. They did and they lost.
Dom Bess is starting to play a nice hand here. He flicks fine for four before rocking onto the back foot and cutting away to the fence. He's made a handy 17 now.
The no-ball klaxon is back again too. STOP bowling no balls!

Bob Hawkins: I’ve just been Aggered... thinking a wicket had fallen on a replay.
Buttler 26, Bess 8
Cheeky from Jos Buttler. He just nurdles one round the corner, but it is so delicate that is bisects the keeper and leg slip and runs away for four.
He's quite quietly got to 26 off 48.

England's first target will have been 500 and it's whether the lower order will be effective against the spinners from now on. If England are to get 600, this is the crucial partnership.
Shot! Dom Bess takes Shahbaz Nadeem downtown for a lovely four over mid-off.
These two have put on 29 now. Useful.
Jos Buttler did get a little feather on it...
In case you were asleep earlier and are wondering why India didn't review that. They burned their two remaining reviews.
One was very questionable, when Ben Stokes clearly gloved a reverse sweep. The other was sliding down leg, and was fairly obvious too, so not great overall from the hosts.

It was convincing the way all the fielders went up for the appeal. It seemed like he may have got the edge, going by their reaction.
Nice from Jos Buttler. He waits for the ball to come to him and drives just past mid-off for another four and that takes England past 500.
Washington Sundar is walking round with a face like thunder. He is not happy with that decision.
That'll be drinks.
Has Jos Buttler nicked this?
Washington Sundar and Rishabh Pant were absolutely pleading. Screaming, jumping, all sorts but the umpire isn't having it.
They were still on their haunches a good while later.

One short of his half-century Ravichandran Ashwin is being rested. Washington Sundar is back on.
Jos Buttler may target him if he gets on strike.

I think Root is the ideal bowler on these conditions. I feel the trajectory he bowls, he bowls a bit quicker.
I might be a bit wrong but he seems to be successful bowling in India. I feel he will be quite intimidating.
Buttler 18, Bess 2
A bit of aggression from Dom Bess as he comes down the track and has a hack. He doesn't get hold of it at all though, and the ball rolls to mid-on.
The offie keeps the strike with a single through square.

Patrick Brennan: I swear Kohli's beard gets pointier and pointier the more frustrated he gets.
Another over ticked off.
Ashwin has bowled 49 now and that's his fifth maiden. He's had to work really hard for his two wickets.
Heartbreak for James Vince who has fallen for 95 in the Big Bash final.
Still, his 60-ball knock, which included 10 fours and three sixes, has put Sydney Sixers in a strong position against Perth Scorchers.
The Sixers are 147-4 after 16 overs.
