Yelps of "catch" as Pujara gloves a nasty bouncer from Archer. It falls safely.
Hands are planted onto the top of English heads.

Jenifer Moore: The next best thing to him getting him out is a maiden - Jimmy v Virat.

Someone in the England camp has taken to Dom Bess' hair with a set of clippers. It's very short on the sides but still floppy on top. I'm getting to the stage I need a bandana with the barber shops closed in the UK.
Bess won't have had many bigger challenges in his career than facing Kohli and Pujara. Each batsman takes a single in his over.
Welcome to the club!
Anderson's spell ends after two overs. Dom Bess returns. He has bowled just one over so far.

Mariana: Starting my new love of cricket! As Italian I have never been so excited to learn about wickets, dollies, slips and hat tricks!
Pujara 21, Kohli 7
There's a hint of movement for Archer - more so than Anderson. You won't say that often. Ollie Pope is lurking at short leg.
Archer backs up Anderson's maiden with one of his own. Joe Root runs in for a word with his wicket-taker.

The breeze whips away at Anderson's shirt as he runs in to Kohli. Jimmy won't mind that in the stifling heat.
Kohli knows all about Anderson's skills. He has faced him plenty of times before. He lifts his bat well out of the way of balls outside off stump.

There isn't any space for Rishabh Pant as a batsman only, so if he doesn't keep well he probably doesn't have a place in the side.
A lot of keepers can miss stumpings, but he way he missed that was appalling really.
The moment he loses form with the bat he will be easily replaceable because of his keeping.
Pujara 21, Kohli 7
Archer mixes his pace. The expression on the fast bowler's face suggests he thinks he's unlucky as Kohli steals a single. The India superstar did play across the ball slightly.
Kohli has had a long-ish break since missing most of the Australia tour for the birth if his first child don't forget.

If India do lose this game when Rishabh Pant is going to come under some criticism. He's had a stinker.
That missed stumping of Jack Leach this morning - you can say that stumpings are difficult or whatever but that particular one, he's seeing it all the way and you can't miss chances like that. You really can't.
And Jofra Archer is going to have another spell post-lunch. File that under 'things you love to see'.

Watching Anderson v Kohli is like seeing a great goalkeeper and a legendary striker in a continuous penalty shootout. They are both trying to think of a way to best outwit the other.
Anderson probes away. Virat defends before flicking a couple off his toes.

I loved the look of Shubman Gill. He looked ridiculously mature and calm. He looked terrific.
He's certainly going to score a lot of runs for India.

It's still a pretty decent pitch, but we can see a clear strategy from the England bowlers. They are bowling into the pitch hoping that it breaks up.

Here come the players. James Anderson whips off his blue cap. The immaculate Virat Kohli stands patiently at the striker's end.
Box office.

If England can shift one of these two quickly, and if the pitch does misbehave in doing so, you could see some doubts in the batsmen.
I think India really need to pull their socks up a bit. They are having a rotten game on every front. I don't know if they are coming down a bit from Australia but they have been sloppy. There were dropped catches, all the no-balls, 40-odd extras. They just haven't looked on it.
They could be there for the taking.
The lunch break will be ending in a couple of minutes. All set? Have you managed to stop yourself drifting off to sleep again?
